The girls were crushed, almost to the point of giving up on their dreams of becoming idols. Min Hee-jin didn’t just stand by. She gave up her HYBE shares and requested to establish ADOR, a separate label where she can launch NewJeans. She battled tooth and nail, going head to head with disputes and obstacles to give them a proper stage and deliver on the promise that the girls will debut. Since they’re in hiatus, no tours, no fan meetings, no new releases… the only money that still trickles down to them comes from: - Streaming royalties - Physical album sales still circulating - Brand contracts still running If Bunnies boycott their music, those residual royalties shrink.
