THIS IS WHY the Brock Purdy contract extension is a GREAT DEAL and a WIN for the San Francisco 49ers… There was talk about Purdy becoming the highest paid quarterback in the history of the NFL. This deal doesn’t come close to that. $50+ million is the going rate for good quarterback play in this league and as the NFL continues to boom, the salary cap will continue to increase, thus making quarterback contracts even richer in the future, so this deal looking back on it could end up being a bargain. Purdy has played like a top 10 guy since become the Niners starter.
