Must read : High Impact story HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath inaugurated the groundbreaking for rejuvenation works at Kamuni Cheruvu ; bund strengthening, approach roads, infrastructure, and nala linkages under the ₹21 crore project. This is a big moment. But it didn’t arrive by itself. It came after six years of a relentless fight I and TOI waged through reporting, evidence, and constant public pressure. I began this campaign not from a newsroom but amid the 2020 floods one of Hyderabad’s worst in decades. On 14 October 2020, I posted aerial images of homes in the illegal layout submerged because they had been built right inside and abutting Kamuni Cheruvu. I tagged then-minister KTR and the GHMC Commissioner and asked: when you build in lakes, water reclaims its space. Is this what LRS was meant for? That thread started the long battle. For two years I kept monitoring. In November 2022, I broke the story that changed everything. My front-page TOI investigation — “Plotted and Sold: Land Sharks Bite Into Kamuni in Hyderabad” exposed the organised mafia operation: night-time earth filling, construction of rooms on the newly “reclaimed” land, and open sale of plots with “lakefront” banners. Using Google satellite imagery overlaid on old survey maps, I showed that not just the FTL but a full quarter of the lake had been encroached, along with its inflow and outflow nalas. The 14 November 2022 X thread with those satellite overlays went viral . It forced action. GHMC had registered FIR Crime No. 854/2022. Ten accused were named. Demolitions happened in Raghavendra Colony. Fencing began. But even then I refused to celebrate partial wins. On 22 November 2022 I posted directly to officials: “Thanks for removing encroachments. Now fencing work started. Land created in lake by filling up has to be cleared. We can see some religious structures yet. Will u be clearing the land and also restoring the lake to original?” The fight continued across governments. In March 2024 I flagged a five-storey building rising almost inside the lake boundary and challenged the GHMC Commissioner on permissions. In August 2024 I posted the damning 2014 vs 2024 satellite comparison showing an entire colony had grown inside the lake bed. I tagged HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath and demanded action in what had become Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao’s constituency. By late 2024 the water hyacinth crisis had turned the lake into a mosquito breeding ground. In February 2026 I wrote directly to the Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner framing it as a public health emergency. When a drone enzyme pilot failed in March, I called it out publicly and demanded mechanical removal — tagging Commissioner Srijana IAS and the CM’s office. On 18 April 2026 I documented the actual mechanical weed-cutting operation on the ground. Through all of this —two state governments, multiple commissioners, and shifting priorities I kept producing fresh evidence, filing public demands, and strategically tagging the people who could act. I refused to accept “some action” as success. Full restoration of the lake, not just demolitions or fencing, was always the non-negotiable demand. That six-year chain of reporting on X and in The Times of India is what kept Kamuni Cheruvu from being forgotten or quietly finished off. Today’s groundbreaking by Commissioner Ranganath moving from the April ₹21 crore sanction to actual construction of bund, roads and infrastructure is the result of that sustained fight. The lake that was being openly plotted and sold in 2022 now has government funding and works on the ground. Challenges remain: completing the 17-metre nala, full excavation of filled portions, long-term maintenance, and protection from fresh encroachments. But the direction has changed because the pressure never stopped. This is what consistent, evidence-driven civic journalism can achieve when it refuses to give up. #KamuniCheruvu #HyderabadLakes #SaveOurLakes

Interview with RT yesterday on the ongoing HTS (al-Qaeda in Syria) slaughter of Syrian civilians, primarily Alawites, possibly exceeding 10,000 civilians killed in less than 1 week. Civilians are being slaughtered at rapid rate by point blank executions, stabbings, slitting throats... If the number 10,000 civilians killed in one week is accurate, that's the equivalent number of Damascus civilians killed by terrorists in 7 years. [ However, sources with on the ground sources in Syria suggest the number of slaughtered civilians could be over 20,000--in 1 week! Keep in mind, this doesn't include the Syrians who were being tortured and killed from December 2024 onwards, after HTS took Syria. See: Regarding terrorist massacres of civilians during the war on Syria (2011-2024), see: Points I would've added had there been more time: Al-Joolani announced the end to the so-called 'military operation' (his HTS ethnic cleansing massacres) yes, but began the massacres elsewhere. The killing has continued. Every day throughout the day there are reports of new massacres. On March 10 it was reported that coinciding with the UN's visit to coastal areas, HTS terrorists took children hostage, sending a message to the parents that if they say anything, or don't say what (the terrorists) want them to say, they will burn the children. People are literally trapped in their homes without food, no way to escape, literally awaiting death squads to break into their homes and gun them down, as has been the case all along the coast and into Hama, also in Aleppo, Damascus and elsewhere. Some days ago, a Christian family was massacred, the parents & their children. They were preceded & followed by many more massacres of Christians. The fact that these barbaric massacres are continuing unabated, not stopped by international institutions and Western states highlights their hypocrisy: They were the first to call for intervention for far, far lesser accusations of wrongdoing by the Syria, or Russia. These accusations-- starving the people, chemical attacks--were false. It was in every case terrorists who starved civilians and hoarded food aid, who staged "chemical attack" scenes. But even these comparably far minor crimes, blamed on the Syrian government, were enough for international outrage and calls for international intervention. But the continually documented mass slaughter of civilians, of children, that isn't enough? Syrian lives, whether Alawite, Shia, Christian, Sunni or other are no less precious than our lives. If this was happening in a Western nation, people would be horrified. So, be horrified for Syrians and speak out. The most important thing to be discussing now is that the ethnic cleansing, the massacres, continue at full pace in spite of promises otherwise and this needs to be front page around the world. Feel free to comment on RT's uploads of the interview:

Important message to U.S. President Donald Trump (Donald J. Trump) "We are November 17, 2024. As you can see, I am front the White House in Washington DC. I am Gloriane Blais, former lawyer and Canadian citizen. I am seeking asylum in United States of America because since 2020 I have been the victim of significant, violent, illegal and abusive persecution by the Canadian judicial system, including Canada's highest court, the Supreme Court of Canada. It all started in 2020, when as a lawyer I received a fraudulent judgment at the end of a trial for my client, a very solid businessman who was the victim of government corruption (abuse of power), against a Crown corporation of the Quebec government in Canada, a lawsuit by my client for 35 million Canadian dollars. Following the fraudulent judgment, I took the case to the Quebec Court of Appeal, with an appeal as of right. The Quebec Court of Appeal preliminarily dismissed the appeal, refusing to look at the evidence, illegally refusing to wait until the evidentiary stage. In March 2021, I filed an Application for Leave to Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada, asking the country's highest court to reform the fraudulent judgment in favour of government corruption. This was the first time in Canadian judicial history that a party not only alleged a wilful lack of impartiality, but actually proved it; I filed 14 volumes of evidence. Before the Supreme Court of Canada rendered its decision, the Chief Justice of the Quebec Superior Court, i.e., the boss of trial judges for the province of Quebec, filed a request for a disciplinary inquiry against me with the Quebec Bar, even though I had filed evidence of my allegations with the Supreme Court of Canada, even though it was not the lawyer who was to be investigated, but rather the judge under his authority who had rendered the fraudulent judgment. In May 2024, Me Daniel Gagnon for the Quebec Bar lodged the 1st lifetime disciplinary complaint against me, based on this request for investigation by the Chief Justice of the Quebec Superior Court. Since then, the Chief Justice of the Quebec Superior Court has resigned, and Me Daniel Gagnon has twice admitted under oath that he never read a single page of the 14 volumes of evidence (except my 20-page brief, which are my allegations)! On July 8, 2021, the Supreme Court of Canada failed in its constitutional responsibilities by rejecting my client's Application for Leave to Appeal. All the evidence of what I have just named is, in French, via my Docurium link : On the same date, July 8, 2021, Me Daniel Gagnon for the Quebec Bar lodged a 2nd (and final) disciplinary complaint against me concerning my spring 2021 comments on the Covid-19 vaccine, as a whistleblower and lawyer with expertise in health law, medical liability and hospitality. I called this vaccine an experimental injection, and when they started inoculating children, I called it a crime against humanity, again as a lawyer. It should be remembered that this vaccine was still in phase 3 of the clinical trial and was a new technology never before used in the general population. We would later learn a great deal of information, including that the product was manufactured using process number 2, with only 252 participants in Pfizer's clinical trial, as the 44,000-participant clinical trial was manufactured using process number 1; consequently, the product distributed to the general population did not undergo a clinical trial! For this, I refer you to the book in English by biostatistician in the pharmaceutical industry Christine Cotton, from France, for which I wrote the Afterword: The two disciplinary complaints continued. ⬇️2/

On Saturday night, January 27, 2024 we had an incident where a suspected intoxicated driver fled from police and then struck a vehicle and two pedestrians, causing serious injuries. Our prayers go out to the victims who were injured, as well as the bystanders who saw it happen and were traumatized. Anytime innocent bystanders are injured because of someone’s reckless and dangerous actions, it hits home for all of us who just want to be able to enjoy a night out in our great city. Impaired driving is 100% preventable and we want to emphasize that there is no excuse for it. There are too many viable options available for people to get home safely, such as rideshare, taxis, and designating a non-drinking driver when out with a group. We know that there has been a lot of public interest in this incident, so we have provided updated information with as much detail as we are able to release, along with video of the incident. At around 10:06 p.m. on January 27, 2024, Fort Worth Police Department officers assigned to the West 7th Entertainment District saw a gray pickup truck exit a parking lot with no headlights at 1000 Foch St. and began driving the wrong way on Morton St., which is a one-way street. The truck then backed up, nearly striking a marked police unit, and drove up onto a curb. The officers could hear the passenger telling the driver to stop. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop based on the erratic driving by activating their overhead lights, but the driver took off, driving rapidly through the parking lot. At this point officers were concerned that the driver was possibly intoxicated due to his reckless driving and posed a threat to the public in a busy entertainment district. The officers observed the truck strike several curbs and nearly collide with other vehicles while driving eastbound on W. 7thSt. At one point the truck cut in front of oncoming traffic and jumped a curb into a bank parking lot then struck a pole which destroyed the front left wheel. Despite the nearly disabled vehicle, the suspect driver continued to flee from officers at a high rate of speed back toward the highly populated West 7th area. Due to the suspect’s erratic driving behavior, officers backed off and slowed down. The suspect drove around stopped traffic at the intersection of West 7th and University. The vehicle struck a pole, then a stopped car, and then struck two pedestrians, an adult male and an adult female, who were on the far side of the intersection. Pursuing officers were on scene within seconds and immediately rendered aid to the victims who were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The suspected drunk driver who was identified as Andrew Guerra, 29 of Grand Prairie was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. Guerra refused to provide a blood sample. Therefore, officers obtained a search warrant for his blood alcohol content to be determined. Guerra is currently in the Tarrant County Jail on a $95,000 bond. He is charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Intoxication Assault with Vehicle Causing Seriously Bodily Injury, and Unlawful Restraint. His mugshot is available on our media portal. Guerra does not have any prior alcohol-related convictions. The passenger in Guerra’s truck has been cooperative with this investigation and is the victim in the Unlawful Restraint charge. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 03March2024 Mind-dump, sans edit The drone footage below has never been seen and was made yesterday. This is a United Nations Camp in Darien, Panama, after “migrant” attack two days ago. This is China Camp in Darien, Panama. Locally called San Vicente. Notice this camp is the header on my X page. Same camp. I have been here dozens of times including two weeks ago. Secretary ARCHIVED: Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas came here on 18 April 2022 to expand the camp. I was there that day. 我那覇真子 Masako Ganaha and and I first went together shortly after Biden was installed several years ago. Chuck Holton had been to Darien many times over the years. We watched the United States grow this terrorist camp. Realizing Darien Gap likely would become a main invasion route to USA, I have spent about six months in and around this area since Biden was installed. Over the past three years I have taken only a small number of select people to this camp and into Darien. These include Ann Vandersteel™️ The Epoch Times Laura Loomer Matt Bracken Rep. Tom Tiffany Ben Bergquam - Real America’s Voice (RAV-TV) News @Oscarelblue Muckraker Mara Macie Bret Weinstein Chris Martenson and a few more. There is no doubt in my mind that people who pass through this camp will become responsible for the deaths of countless Americans. You have never seen a more serious terrorist camp in your life. This camp is funded by Homeland Security and others through front organizations such as IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳, and HIAS. HIAS has an office about 50 yards from this fire damage. The Government of Panama wants to close this camp but World Economic Forum, Chinese Communist Party, and U.S. Embassy Panama and others work to keep this open. This is a war camp. Panama could shut the camp with snap of a finger but do not. This camp and others will be instrumental in the coming revolution in Panama. At this rate, Panama will be taken from Panamanians due to allowing this to grow within their bellies. Again, HIAS has an office about 50 yards from the fire damage that destroyed the “migrant” records two days ago. ARCHIVED: Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was a board-member at HIAS before being installed as an operative at Homeland Security Two days ago, a riot occurred in this camp. Several courageous SENAFRONT PANAMÁ men were seriously hurt trying to save the camp and stop the attack. Arson was committed including an attack on vital records of invaders who pass through this camp. According to SENAFRONT PANAMÁ, computers and vital records were burned and destroyed. The attack is said to have started from an internal dispute between “migrants”. The records were attacked during the violence. 44 “migrants” reportedly have been arrested so far. Others vanished into the night. Vanished with what? The records? Records that include CCP operatives, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others who have passed through were said to have been burned. It is unknown if backups are intact. It is unknown to me if the records were actually burned or maybe just vanished into the night. Powerful forces are at play. This is a multiplayer game. This drone footage was made yesterday afternoon on 02 March 2024. On the right side of the camp notice the fire damage to SENAFRONT PANAMÁ offices. This is exactly were Laura Loomer interviewed the Somali, the Iranian, the the Chinaman about two weeks ago. I was there beside her with 我那覇真子 Masako Ganaha Ann Vandersteel™️ Mara Macie and others. We know this camp. China Camp is a terrorist bus station to United States funded by United States.

"If you have the facts and the law on your side, you don't need to pound the table, Mr. Bederow!" Here's my overview as to why Robert Cosgrove stalling for months to get a protective order for Lindsey Gaetani's phone extraction (that Brian Tully leaked, unredacted, after only removing messages from Tully to Lindsey and from PI Kate Peter to Lindsey) is Aidan Kearney's strongest argument for Cosgrove's recusal. I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice. I am a towel. TRANSCRIPT: Before Ms. Gaetani accused him of intentional misconduct, Mr. Cosgrove successfully fought to prevent the public release of embarrassing and private details from her personal life by seeking broad impoundment and protective orders. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't care if you weren't on the case at that point - you don't get that wrong. I'm sorry, I have to object on fact. Olivia, that is not what happened. Olivia prides herself on a knowledge of the factual record. Olivia, that is not what happened. You wanna know what happened? You want me to lay it out for you? I'll do it. April 2024. Brian Tully, personally --well, Ken Mello is in the hospital-- takes a 15-year unredacted extraction of Lindsey Gaetani's cell phone, compared to Natalie, who was allowed to submit her cell phone to a private company and remove things before Tully got the extraction of Natalie's phone. Ms. Hoity-Toity over there. Fuck your aristocracy, fuck your Hollywood, fuck yourself. Anyway, so Tully, in all his infinite fucking wisdom, removes messages from Kate Peter to Lindsey and from Tully to Lindsey before leaking this extraction while Ken Mello's in the fucking hospital. Then Ken Mello invokes the clawback provision of the discovery rules in Bradl's—like, I'm Tim Bradl. He was being Tim Bradl. As much as I blame Aidan and Tim Bradl for being Aidan and Tim Bradl, they were just proxies here. Folks, Tully was the mastermind and Jason Broyles was the intended recipient so that Broyles could attack Lindsey and myself to get credibility with Turtle Riders, to get close to Aidan so he could feed intel back to Kate and Tully, in my opinion. Anyway, the point is, that's in April. Tully doesn't even return Lindsey's call for like six days and then he's like, eh, meh. Of course he was like, meh, because he's a motherfucker, in my opinion. I mean, not lovingly. So anyway, this motherfucker goes about his business, doesn't give a fuck. Cosgrove doesn't do fucking shit until September of 2024. And he knows it. And everybody knows it. That motherfucker goes into court - oh, I get in a mood about this. That motherfucker goes into court in September of 2024 and fucking writes a handwritten fucking protective order, being like, oh, it's okay if Aiden keeps a copy of the phone and et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. That was in front of Judge Squires Lee. That was the same day that Lindsey got sabotaged at the courthouse by a court clerk...no comment. I love most of those clerks. They're wonderful. I love the court officers. I don't like what happened that day. I don't like it at all. Anyway, so I go in there -- wait a minute, what were we talking about? Oh, right. I think I was watching court that day. I was either watching or there, and Lindsey is there and Tully's -- Cosgrove's there and Bradl's there. And Judge Squires Lee is like, ah, you know, go write the agreement. So Cosgrove and Bradl write it by hand and file it. Fucking bullshit. You know how I -- now I'm not saying Judge Squires Lee did anything wrong. I think the clerk kind of misled her because she was in the bag for Jen McCabe, which is a whole different story. But the point is, so the one thing that Judge Squires Lee did that made me realize that I think she caught on to the fact that the clerks fucked around was that Judge Squires Lee entered an order on the docket permanently allowing Lindsey to file pleadings. So anytime Lindsey could just go in and they'd be like, no - -Lindsey could be like, I have an order from Judge Squires Lee. It was the strangest thing. Anyway, so that kind of-- but I don't really know what to make of all that. Anyway, so it's bullshit though. That is wrong from Bederow. And I'll tell you why: because it wasn't until Lindsey made a motion, okay, about this protective order that Judge Krupp on December 27th, 2024, spanked Brian Tully and Robert Cosgrove and Aiden a little bit. And it was --I'm paraphrasing here, Judge did not say the word motherfucker-- and it was like you motherfuckers. You got to read that three-page order from Judge Krupp from December 27th. You want to say Robert Cosgrove --no, Mr. Bederow-- no. And what's weird is there's no reason to present it this way, okay? Because presenting it the way that is true to the factual record and in the way I just described buttresses your argument that Cosgrove was conflicted because he tried to let the phone extraction go unprotected for months. Hello? Feel like I'm fucking banging my head against the wall sometimes with these fucking lawyers. Sorry, I shouldn't add this coffee, I'm in a mood. The point is, no. That's wrong, factually. And the factual record makes your argument stronger. Oh my god. Oh my god. How can - how can you get it so wrong and hurt your own argument at the same time? If you're gonna get it fucking wrong, get it wrong because the truth hurts your argument. If you have the truth and if you have the facts on your side and the law on your side, you don't have to pound the table. Just state it correctly. Cosgrove sabotaged the attempts to get a protective order on the phone, and five months after the phone was released by Tully --mind you-- Cosgrove is delaying to protect Tully, because Tully edited the extraction because he wanted it to be released right when the first Karen Read trial started, so that all the Turtle Riders would focus on Lindsey. And I'll tell you, there's something to be said here. There's something to be said about how even Bederow doesn't get it. Because Cosgrove doing that—waiting months to do the first bullshit protective order, and then not doing anything to get Judge Krupp to issue a protective order—it was Lindsey who got Judge Krupp to do that. Well, it was Judge Krupp realizing, I think, what had happened. Judge Krupp, when he retires, I want to talk to him about that day. I want to be like, did you—how pissed were you when you realized that Tully did this on purpose? I'm dropping like, oh that went fine. Judge Krupp is a stern judge too. You know what, I'm gonna get on his bad side. If you're on his good side, you might get a smile and a little chuckle. And then he's right into it. If you're on his bad side, he will not let you talk. I love judges like that. All right, let's continue. So it's like, my God, go to federal court. If you get a smile from Judge Talwani, that is like a core memory. I got a smile from Judge Talwani. I just beamed. Now, she did put a court sign on her courtroom being like no loud typing before I got there. So I knew she knew I was coming. It was for the Leslie hearing. But she still smiled at me. But anyway, this is wrong. I just want to tell you that on page 10 of 22, paragraph --second full paragraph, lines one through four-- it's just wrong. And Bederow should make the argument stronger by pointing out that Cosgrove was hostile to Lindsey and therefore had a bias against her long before any of this went down. Cosgrove was protecting Tully and Kate Peter from the beginning. There's a pattern. Cosgrove also hid that email from Kate Peter to Ken Mello. We're going to read it at the end of this. Come on, breathe. Bederow. Is this what all New York Jets fans are like? Aren't you a Patriots fan, motherfucker? I was going to say his life would really suck if he's a Jets fan. But if he's a Pats fan - now I remember he wears Pats sweatshirts. Come on, Mr. Bederow. Think like Tom Brady. His view apparently changed. No, it did not. No, it did not, Mr. Bederow.

OpenAI just told you the top is in, and they're HIDING it behind an AI safety lie. Sam Altman confirmed they won't go public in 2026. A listing that was being lined up at up to $1 trillion, suddenly pushed out to 2027. Altman called going public right now "ill-advised," and blamed it on AI safety. SPARE ME THE SAFETY EXCUSE OpenAI raised money privately at an $852 billion valuation earlier this year, its most senior people are walking out the door, and Anthropic, its single closest rival, is sprinting to go public before the midterms at north of $2 trillion. A company that truly believed it was building something too dangerous to sell to the public wouldn't be racing to sell shares to the public, and the rival sitting right next to it wouldn't be either. The safety story does not survive 5 seconds of scrutiny. So let me tell you what this really is, because we've built this exact machine once before and it didn't end well: The best breakdown of what's happening here came from Jay Martin, a commodities investor who traced the whole thing back to 2006. He talked about this a month ago and everything's turning out to be true. Everybody points to 2008, the year Lehman fell and Washington started rescuing banks, but by the time those headlines landed the outcome was already decided. The year that settled it was 2006, and in 2006 every front page told you housing had never looked healthier. What almost everyone missed was how those mortgages actually worked. The people writing them never expected to get paid back, because the entire plan was to keep rolling them over. A risky borrower paid a low teaser rate for 2 years, then refinanced against a higher home value and restarted the same 2 year clock. The whole arrangement leaned on a single requirement that had nothing to do with how many people wanted houses: It needed acceleration. Prices had to keep climbing faster every single year or the whole thing breaks. And in 2006 home prices never fell. They just slowed from rising 15% a year to rising 8%, and that alone was enough to bring the entire structure down. A homeowner whose house gained 8% could no longer pull enough equity out to replace the old loan, so the refinancing ladder broke and borrowers began defaulting in record numbers with prices still near their all-time peak. The crash in prices was only the echo, and it didn't arrive for another year. The panic took two. What you have to understand here: The loans broke the moment price growth merely slowed, long before prices themselves ever fell. Now look at OpenAI through that exact lens. It's never turned a profit and it loses tens of billions of dollars a year. It covers yesterday's bills by raising fresh money at a higher valuation, which is precisely what that subprime borrower did every time he refinanced against a bigger appraisal. Every round OpenAI raised from 2024 through 2025 came in somewhere between 1.7 and 1.9 times the size of the one before it. For a company bleeding this much cash, that ever-climbing valuation is the fuel, and it works right up until the number stops climbing. The IPO was supposed to be the next rung on that ladder. At $1 trillion it would've been a step of barely 1.2 times the last private round, the smallest jump in the company's entire life, and it was being teed up at the exact moment cheap Chinese models are dragging down what the American labs can charge for the same work. And this weekend OpenAI refused to take even that shrunken step. That's the sound of the acceleration stalling, and it's the same sound 2006 made before everything went downhill. Roughly 40% of the S&P 500 now sits inside just 10 companies. If your retirement is in an index fund, you aren't spread safely across 500 businesses. Nearly half of your money is riding on one belief holding together, the belief that these AI companies will somehow grow into valuations that have never ONCE made sense, before the acceleration gives out underneath them.

BREAKING: Bill Ackman just IPO'd his hedge fund. He targeted $25 billion two years ago. He raised $5 billion yesterday. And the retail investors he spent two years courting on X didn't show up. Here's what actually happened, and why it matters for every investor who thinks following a famous name is a strategy. Wednesday, April 29. Bill Ackman rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Two listed entities hit the market. Pershing Square USA (PSUS), the closed-end fund. Pershing Square Inc. (PS), the asset manager. PSUS priced at $50 a share. It opened at $42. It closed at $40.90. Down 18% on debut. One of the most famous hedge fund managers on the planet went public, and his fund lost nearly a fifth of its value in a single trading session. Now look at how the money actually came in. Of the $5 billion raised, $2.8 billion came from a private placement. Family offices took 30% of that. Pension funds took 25%. Insurance companies took 22%. Ultra-high-net-worth investors took 12%. Institutional investors accounted for over 85% of total orders. The remaining $2.2 billion came from a public offering of 44 million PSUS shares. Some of that was retail. Most of it was not. Ackman has 2 million followers on X. He spent two years marketing this fund as a way for regular people to access hedge fund returns at $50 a share. He even said it on CNBC the morning of the IPO: "Hedge funds are sort of known for managing money for rich people. And now we have the opportunity for someone with $50, could be a long-term shareholder. Usually, the retail gets cut massively back, the institutions are favored. We did the opposite." The retail audience he was talking to didn't believe him. The institutions did. Two years ago, the original target was $25 billion. Yesterday, the final number was $5 billion. That's an 80% downsize. We did the opposite."
