Frontiers with momentum physics is fun af, just rolling down hills feels cool af lol I hope that with all the docs kishimoto got they ditch the boost and incorporate physics like this for the next game

I'm still fully a believer that the boost and momentum physics can coexist and he the perfect formula for Sonic The answer is actually simple. Boost cannot be top speed. It allows you to get moving quickly, and dash through enemies, but top speed requires clever use of momentum

This mod actually has a cool combination of both. It doesn't have the traditional boost but a dash mechanic that gives you a quick burst of speed, so you don't rely on physics only to go fast, you just need them to go insanely fast Really cool mod🙏🙏🙏

This is how I want Sonic in an open world to be executed. Well that and also less of what Frontiers was doing with its platforming in the open world just floating around and the actual island being inconsequential to the challenges you’re doing

I'm fine with floating platforms tbh, they've been a thing since forever in sonic, they just gotta look good and not like a cheap unity asset lol There's this mod that makes them look really good and fit with the game's art style better I think they look neat 👌

How about adding the boost to this kind of momentum instead. Because listen, getting an instant blast of speed from a stand still should definitely be an option for Sonic & the boost is the only move where he can do it without a spin dash.
