Ticket reselling is a billion dollar business fueled by a frustrating reality for music fans - scalpers keep ending up with many of the best tickets.

DC Councilmember Trayon White Sr. arrested for accepting $156,000 in bribes to influence city contracts. Accused of using his position to push for contract renewals worth millions, White faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

@Brook No mention of Ticketmaster waitroom queues that use an algorithm that rewards buying and selling accounts, holdbacks to deceive fans hiding the true supply with zero transparency, bots, Ticketmaster resale platform, dynamic pricing, platinum tickets Tactics that hurt fans

@Brook Let me save you the time of reading the article; Everyone wanted more money, including the artists, and the only revenue stream was ticket buyers.

@Brook Finally ticket companies are getting exposed. Why is it that I can spend an hour on a presale @Ticketmaster event only to get shut out, and yet an hour later, I can by a ticket on @StubHub for 3 times the price? This is outrageous and illegal. Something must be done. #ripoff

@CBSNews @Brook The StubHub guy in this article is disgusting. They charge $400 for the tickets and $700 for fees. How do you square that? All in the name of resale and their argument of “what are people going to do if they purchase tickets to an event they no longer can attend.” What a joke!

@Brook Remember way back when government thought monopolies were bad? Because they were bad government would break them up so there would be competition in the marketplace. Ticketmaster is an evil monopoly and for decades government has done nothing about it.

@Brook Where is the real news? So much is happening in America and world wide but US media only talks about BS. We dnt give a damn about ticket prices.

@CBSNews @Brook The ticket for sporting events, concerts and other shows is ridiculously out of control. Stubhub, Seat Geek, Vivid Seats are criminal in their practices with excessive fees and algorithm pricing. Making it difficult for the average person to attend events. 😡

@Brook Obviously they've mucked things up for years to make buck no different than selling super bowl time or paying for sports service and still having commercials 😦, figure that one out . It's all a big scam today . The media complaining about prices to see what they make money from

@Brook Im sorry but a quick scan of your stories posted screams lame
