XPENG’s autonomous parking system is cool. The system is able to generate a 3D Model Interface and actively memorize parking lot structures, and space positions. You are able to save your preferred parking spaces, as well as marking entrances, charging spaces, spacious parking spaces, etc. If the selected parking space is occupied, it will automatically park into an adjacent vacant space. I would love to see Tesla implement something like this one day with FSD. Super useful if you live in an apartment buildings, etc.

I really like how quickly FSD V14.3 parks, both backing in a pulling forward. In the first part of the video, FSD correctly avoids parking in a handicap space and instead selects the next available open spot.

British man loses it over a parking space. Claims the pavement is “technically my area” and gets proper worked up when the other driver doesn’t move. In the UK that pavement and dropped kerb isn’t private property it belongs to the council. Who do you side with — the guy who’s parked there for years, or the one telling him it’s not his space?

This is the ballsiest thing I’ve seen FSD do in my car. It threaded the needle passing between two cars in the Costco parking lot and then parked itself right after. This is the most human like behavior I’ve seen with FSD so far.

FSD did not stop at the intersection. I drove 180 miles r/t to do this test and FSD was flawless the entire trip except for this intersection. I blame the speed limit, the bend in the road, the foliage, and the horrible design of this intersection. I still love FSD and wouldn’t have a car without it.

She has two assigned parking spaces in her apartment complex, and right beside hers are her neighbor’s two spots, usually occupied by his bright red pickup truck. Everyone knows which space belongs to who. One afternoon, the neighbor pulls in and finds a blue pickup truck parked in one of his reserved spots. Instead of calling management or having it towed, he grabs his tools, walks over calmly… and removes a tire from the back of the blue truck, leaving it propped awkwardly in the space. By the time the owner of the blue truck comes out, there’s confusion, frustration, and now potential damage involved. I understand the frustration of someone parking where they shouldn’t, especially in paid, reserved spaces. But escalating things physically can create bigger problems than the original mistake. Sometime, the smartest move isn’t the most dramatic one. Was that standing up for his property rights — or did he just turn a parking issue into a criminal one?

Wow! 🤩 FSD v14.1 Lite can now exit my driveway with the 2 parked cars in the way! It could never do this before. I tried dozens of times w/ the previous 3 versions of v14 Lite and no luck.

I have been in space for 50+ days now. It has been an amazing experience so far. I have so many highlights. One of the highlights was getting a video of the eclipse. It was eerily beautiful, and what an opportunity to see it from the International Space Station!

Adeo asked me, what am I doing after PayPal? I said I thought maybe there'd be something philanthropic that could be done in space that would get the public more excited about space travel, in particular sending people to Mars. I said, I'm sure NASA's got that covered. So, I'll go look on the NASA website for when are we going to Mars? Because, of course, it should be on the website: We're going to Mars in this year, and this is how we're going to do it. But there was nothing. Nothing at all about people going to Mars. I was like, I just don't understand why there's nothing about people going to Mars. Because if you look at the literature in the 1970s, it was all about, we went to the moon, now we're going to go to Mars. And so, what happened? There was the Space Shuttle, and the Space Shuttle turned out to be a really big mistake. It could barely get to Low Earth Orbit. Forget about the moon or Mars or anything like that. Breadcrumbs of Banish appear to be in the latest Actually Smart Summon release. My Model 3 parked itself on ASS (FSD v14.3.2) after I blocked the road and used hand signals to direct it into a parking spot (target was on opposite side of the building). I've never seen it do this before. It didn't just pull in across the lines, it parked near-perfectly like it does on FSD. Worked with my Model 3 and TeslaFSD - Dave's Model Y on first attempt. Of course when I brought out the camera it took like 7 tries, but it eventually did it again! Not enough data to conclude if it's actually listening to my hand signals, or just giving up and deciding to park instead of block the road. Would be interesting to see if other people can try and replicate this. Everything is there for Banish to work, just comes down to Tesla feeling comfortable enough to let it go unsupervised in parking lots.

The end of this video during my drive back is the only weird thing I've experienced on FSD V14.1.1. I think FSD thought it will in an oncoming lane, but it would have been fine if it stayed there since it's a one way street.
