Please be very careful w/ FSD v14 Lite you start using a HW3 car and it starts to go in reverse. You can’t trust it completely. Worst FSD critical takeover I've ever had – potentially fatal – and I've been an OG beta tester across multiple vehicles. On 14.3.3, the car appears to misread round red glare spots as a small animal and jerks hard into oncoming traffic. Had I not intervened, a head-on was likely. Reported as critical. This is the regression you get when you raise the gain on small-animal detection: a phantom obstacle triggering an evasive swerve into oncoming cars. HW3 FSD v14 Lite- I just lost a 240 mile streak due to this issue going in reverse. I purposely waited for the woman in the white dress to pass before turning on FSD. It proceeded to try & run over the people walking behind it next. I had no other choice but to take over. 😞

FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. I had to drive manually for the rest of the trip. I thought I got a FSD strike but nope, I was all clear. FSD v12.6.4 continues to fail. 👎 Tesla Elon Musk Ashok Elluswamy

Posting this as a Tesla FSD public service and the outside chance Tesla see’s this. Yesterday FSD nearly drove into the concrete jersey barrier on hwy 17 as I was traveling to Santa Cruz California. I intervened a fraction of a second before impact. This video doesn’t show the event but does show the conditions a few minutes later when I thought to honk the horn to save a clip. I have used FSD for years and this was the most epic fail. Note that there is little margin for error. I am on hw3 and have NOT received 14 lite Tesla AI Elon Musk Please tag the appropriate team if you can.

One of the biggest detractors from the FSD user experience is the last-second lane changes, often leading to completely missing, or narrowly missing an exit or turn. And at high speed, that’ll make the hairs on your neck stand up. Tesla has solved seemingly the hardest aspects of autonomy… yet this navigation/lane planning issue keeps showing up version after version. This is my official plea to Tesla AI please make navigation a priority.
