People of Nabi Ball!❤️✌🏾 There is progress in this team👏🏾 The patterns need time to develop and for the team to be consistent in them. ■ The left side looked better with Mmodi and Shinga✅️ ■ We needed Duba to attack the box and be available more when these 2 attacked on the left. He dropped to the edge of the box very often. ■ Unlike in the 1st half, there was a better understanding between Shinga and the LW. When Shinga overlapped, Mmodi was willing to occupy the pockets and combine. ▪︎ When Shinga inverted, Mmodi was happy to hug the line and take his man on. This understanding was key in that side coming to life in the 2nd half. ■ What was also impressive was the ability for them to create good combinations and movements with Mdu and Duba on the offense from the left side. ■ Lilepo from the right was getting into good goal scoring positions when the left was creating in the 2nd half, but poor decisions on the ball and slow reactions were a problem. He should compete on the LW with Mmodi. ■ In the 1st half, it was Monyane and Vilakazi on the right, and 2nd half it was Mmodi and Shinga with some of our best moments in attack. Overall, you can see the general attitude of this team changing. They want to play now. They want to stay on the ball and create chances from a position of control, not rely heavily on transitional moments to create chances. We have shown signs that we can control and be patient, but when opportunities to attack comes we are relentless, and we use a lot of speed to enter the final 3rd. We just need to work on the combinations and finishing in the final 3rd. Like I said before, we are a work in progress, and we will get better only if we build on the positives and remove the negatives. Protagonist Tiki-taka is coming!❤️✌🏾

A number of you have asked about the call at the end of the 1st Half of the Bethel Football game at NCC Football in which there was a potential fumble/TD wiped off the board for Bethel that eventually led to no score by the Royals. The full play and a breakdown of issues with the call are in the video below. To be clear, though: 1) It appears that the receiver did not possess the ball at or past the NCC 8, which was needed for the 1st Down (the officials gave the ball to Bethel at the 8 after the overturn, awarding a 1st down). 2) It seems like the wing official was marking forward progress but may not have blown his whistle. It is unclear how he affected the overturn decision in the first place. What is clear is that the officials on the field awarded a fumble and TD, meaning they did not rule forward progress had been stopped. As a result, this aspect of the play is NOT reviewable by rule, as it is a judgment call in real time. 3) No TD should have been awarded before the review in the first place, as the ball clearly was fumbled to the lineman, and fumbles on 4th down in college football can only be advanced by the fumbling player. The ball would have been marked at the spot of the fumble in that case. 4) The officials missed a clear Roughing the Passer call, as the NCC defender went for the Bethel QB's legs while he was in his passing stance. This would have been a half-the-distance and automatic-first-down foul. If this play was called correctly in the first place, it should have been called dead with forward progress stopped at the 8 1/2 yard line and the Roughing foul pushing the ball to the 4 1/4 yard line, 1st & Goal Bethel, with the clock stopped due to penalty. No matter what, though, the Roughing penalty would have ensured Bethel had the ball closer to the goal with 16 seconds left (when forward progress stoppage should have been called). Asked Nuggets coach David Adelman about the season that Jaylen Brown has had, and he gushed about Brown as both a player and a person. "The the elite shooting from mid range is such a big deal in our game, it's the late-clock ability, his overall size, his ability to play in the middle of the floor, which is really hard to come double people and not give up the three point line to a team like they have, I would just say his continued evolution in his game. "He's an elite, All-Star player, two-way player. I just watched him grow over the years, not just the championship year, but with Jayson Tatum, obviously out, more responsibility falls into his hands, and I thought they did a great job building around him for this particular season, with all the shooting that surrounds him." "He's a problem. He's not fun to watch on tape when you have to play against him. I'm a fan of his, just as a pure basketball person, not just as a coach. Actually got to spend some time in Africa, he was such an impressive person. He's good for the NBA. He's going to be a probelm for us tonight." "There was an Africa game that I coach in, that he played in. They used to do that yearly in South Africa. It's an amazing event. He came down there for that. And some of the events that we had to do -- humanitarian stuff, you go out and you see these communities, and just to see his investment in it was really impressive. And he was at a much younger age then. And I remember him in the bubble, speaking up at meetings and things like that." "Some people are born to lead. He definitely stands out as one of those people."
