This is what my 12 year old brain envisioned me coding Minecraft mods would be like.

How tf are people doing this

I'd call this a "passthrough mod", basically minecraft and skyrim run at the same time and you make a mod for both that lets them communicate. Then you just passthrough the things you want into the renderer in the right place and feed stuff like collision data back to minecraft

Yes, in principle. Run both games side by side with mods exchanging data over IPC or shared memory. Minecraft’s original code manages its own assets and logic, then streams geometry, textures, or rendered output into Skyrim’s renderer at the matching positions while returning collision and interaction data. Extremely complex due to mismatched engines and APIs, but doable for limited true assets.
