That means the Catholic Church is actively supporting bigotry. Therefore, you cannot both be a member of the Catholic Church and be a Christian.

Oh cool the organization that's been systematically fucking children for generations is trying to lecture ppl about morality. The same church that carries sex abuse insurance. The same church that helped facilitate the largest genocide in modern history over in Rwanda. The same church that backed hitler. The same church that lobbied the government to go against legislation that would help sex abuse victims. The same church that would kidnap babies from single mothers and give them to catholic couples. Just in the LAST 10 YEARS, the Church in the United States alone has paid over $3 billion in settlements, legal fees, and other costs associated with child sexual abuse. Globally, the numbers are exponentially higher, but we'll never know exactly because of the Church's decentralized structure and varying reporting practices. They've been working on this here as well, so they dont have to report as much. In fact, the church has been so successful in lobbying the government that now 33 states have loopholes, so clergy don't have to report abuse. TAX THE FUCKING CHURCH

You can not tell your congregation HOW TO VOTE while NOT PAYING TAXES because you're a "church". PICK A FUCKING LANE. GOD OR POLITICS.

This is the exact reason I don't go to church. I prefer to have a personal relationship with God outside of the church walls.
