Michael Black told Katie Pavlich he first thought the gunshots were balloons popping — when he realized what was happening, he told his wife: “Run! Can I borrow your attention for two minutes ? Wrote this out 200 times and it still feels wrong but here goes. As a lot of you know my Dad passed on a while back. It massively derailed the recording and release of this forthcoming album (it’s now coming out in May) But it also really derailed me. My Dad was a complex fella. Full of good and bad traits (aren’t we all). Anyway I wanted to do something that sums up the grief process. How it feels when a particular person enters your head. It isn’t a linear thing is it? It comes and goes. The album isn’t remotely doomy and im not even sure the original concept was about my Dad, but because I recorded it during his final weeks, it shall, in my mind at least always be about him. I’ve been told that I should release a different song to this because it’s a bit depressing to be on BBC Radio 2 and whilst I love being on the radio, some things are about being true to yourself aren’t they? When we toured recently loadsa people cried when we played this one and so that gave me the confidence to put it out. Also my dad would have loved the attention 🤣. He was the bands biggest fan. Always letting me know if we’d had a spin on the radio or where the albums had got to in the chart and giving me his feedback on my demos. I miss him terribly and if you too are struggling with grief there is a helpline you can ring on 08088081677 where the folks at Cruse can advise and assist you. Without trying to commercialise something tragic l, we do have a limited number of McClure family front covers of the new album which, my dad would be buzzing about. If you forced me to pick my top three matches ever, even though I had many, this is the list 👇 Number three My first main event ever. Myself vs CM Punk inside WWE Hell in a Cell for the WWE Championship. That match changed everything for me. Number two Myself and Team Hell No Daniel Bryan and Kane vs The Shield Seth Rollins Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in their debut match. A TLC match that was given five stars and is regarded as one of the greatest TLC matches of all time. Number one Myself vs John Cena for the WWE Championship in Chicago Illinois at Allstate Arena. I drove John through the LED Titantron board. He was stretchered out and taken away in an ambulance. I got back to my feet, but it was still ruled a tie. Honorable mention Myself vs CM Punk in another TLC match, including the TLC match we had on Raw. The majority of that match was done on the fly with very little actually planned, which makes it even more special to me. Those are my picks if you make me choose. And that’s the last bite. Bryson DeChambeau shot a final round 65 to finish 3rd at LIV Golf Korea, just 1 shot out of the playoff. He said after the round that the improvement was due to the work he did with Gemini AI after the 71 on Saturday: “Yeah, the beginning of the first round I felt great. Golf swing felt in sync and then it started getting out of sync and it felt like my hands were getting ahead of me. It continued that way for the next two rounds, and it was very frustrating. “I spent some long hours on the range trying to figure some stuff out and I was talking to AI quite a bit last night trying to go through some different physics principles that makes the club turn over, having some alpha torque and gamma torque put in there. I was like, what makes that possibly do that, and was talking about just grip pressure and tension. “So I came out here today with just a little bit more freer hands, and I felt the club a lot better, and I felt like I could close the club a lot more effectively and then I started striping it. “From then on out, I was able to kind of control it. Still missed some wedges to the right coming in, which is kind of frustrating, but that's just me holding on a little bit rather than just letting it go. “I feel like I'm on the right path now, and I had it okay in the first round, but really felt it -- I felt really good this round. I felt better than I did in the first round, which is a good trend. “Hopefully it continues, and I'm just continuing to learn. That's the thing; this game is so brutal. Missing two cuts at the majors and you feel like you're golden going in there, won a couple events and playing well, and this game can kick you when you're at your highest. “It goes for all of us, not just me. It's everybody here. Everybody wants to win. “I think that's the beautiful part about golf is that it can kick you when you're at your highest or it can bring you up when you're at your lowest, and yet we have to respect the game for that. “So I felt great. Didn't feel great in the middle of the tournament, but then the last round today I felt a lot better. “I'm proud of the way I persevered to finish third without really anything.” And then spoke about the Gemini assisted practice session he had at 8pm: “I was slamming the club in the ground trying to figure out what to do. I was frustrated. Been trying everything in my body. I didn't actually figure it out on the range. I was up all night thinking about what today should have looked like for Kyle and the kids. The Father’s Day cards that were already made sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. Trying to figure out how to navigate a day that should be filled with so much joy for them. He was the dad who never missed a chance to be silly, race the kids around the neighborhood, wrap them in his arms, or stay up a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more moment. Nothing made him prouder than being Brexton and Lennix’s dad. Watching these memories hurts more than I can explain, but they also remind me how lucky we were to have him. Kyle, the kids, and I miss you every second of every day. Our hearts ache for you, but it’s more than that. Your absence is something we physically feel. Yall this is the most awkward video to watch. It was also the most awkward to shoot 😂😂 We had a KYL rack with the two smallest targets (quarter inch and whatever is next) at 38 yards and at 50 yards. You had to shoot far to near, big to small, THEN switch to weak side shooting - so left shoulder/left trigger finger, ya know, something I’ve never done behind a bolt gun on a timer and on a roof top - shoot the same sequence, then go back to strong side and shoot near to far, small to large. This is my first time using the 5.5-30 Burris Optics XTR PS scope in a match, and this reticle is just super easy to use. My zero is 50 yards and then for the 38 yard targets, I had to hold lower, which with this clear of glass was easy to do. This is not a perfect run, but I don’t care about that. I was just proud of myself for getting through it, doing something hard, and not timing out. NRL22, especially with the wind we had yesterday, is so challenging. Unless you’ve actually shot a match before, it’s hard to understand just how challenging the target sizes are and the positions you’ve got to work through. My VudooGunWorks barreled action with the TriggerTech was dead on accurate and fun to shoot. I can’t recommend the MDT Sporting Goods. chassis enough, which allows you to set the gun up perfectly to the shooter. Shout out to WieBad for making a great rooftop support bag. I had all my 5.11 clothes and boots on yesterday thankfully keeping me warm from some insane winds 🤘🏼 Best range clothing! Once again, had to talk to myself through shooting as that’s what I do when I’m still learning how to shoot a specific sport. Nervous panic talking 😂😂

I saw the big dawg, the legendary scout who’d signed tons of ballplayers, walking over, and I thought, here it comes. Some real feedback. He’s gonna see what I got. Instead, in front of everybody, “Who brought this piece of shit here?” In front of everybody! My heart dropped. Then he kept going: “Get this piece of shit out of here.” This was a major league scout with a long track record, though he’s out of baseball now after some ugly situation. I was expecting pointers like “Close out your delivery more, kid, let’s see what happens”something to build on. Not that! I’d been there since 7 a.m. on a Sunday. I’d been grinding all week throwing sessions, I come here and throw 6 or 7 pitches and this guy comes here and tells me that? I walked off the mound, sat down to switch into my running shoes, and the tears just came. Big ones rolling down. I felt crushed. Then Josue Herrera, a Pirates scout, came over, tapped me on the shoulder, and said, “Big dawg, get up from there and go run. You’re gonna be a big leaguer one day.” Man, I still get goosebumps thinking about it. He said it straight up like that. That was the worst MNF in Miami Dolphins history I think. I cant be the only one looking for that pair of barrels from McDaniel? Our players looked lost and unhappy. There was no spark whatsoever 😔 I wanted those Titans fans in front of me to shut for one second but that didnt happen. And felt worst when I saw dolphins fans started leaving at the beginning of 4th quarter 🤦🏽‍♀️😭 (video) I dont wanna hear it, I got home at 12:15am, showered then went to bed by 1am and up by 5am. The only thing that made it feel tiny bit better is that Im 4-0 on one of my fantasy league, won it by -1.18 😂 Anyways, how did u guys like Huntley? I thought Boyle did better from the game before. I've always secretly wanted a PDP-11. When I was a little kid, they were state-of-the-art. When I was in college, they were a staple of our CS program. I rarely got to touch one and never expected to own one. I found it on eBay for sale a couple of months ago, with proceeds going to charity. So I bid (yay, and won it. The price included free national crating and shipping, so I felt slightly cheated that it was only coming from Oregon! A cheerful fellow dropped it off from his liftgate truck, wheeling it and the pallet on which it sat into my garage before leaving. According to the shipping manifest, it weighed 840 lbs. I have a 2-ton portable shop crane (engine hoist), but wasn't sure if it would go high enough to lift the PDP or if you were even supposed to grab a PDP by its chassis and lift it. Nonetheless, the lift had the height, but the legs weren't wide enough to clear the wood shipping pallet, so I couldn't get the lift over the PDP. We set up the lift on top of the palette, then blocked it up so we could lift the PDP and slowly cut the pallet away with a Sawzall. Which is what I did. It seemed super-sketch but was never dangerous. I'm much too good-looking to be killed by a 1970s minicomputer. I then did something that earned me the nickname "YOLO" on the PDP-11 groups: I just plugged it in and turned it on to see what confronted me. The machine emitted a scary roar, like a powerful fan rubbing on the chassis or maybe an arc. The power dipped out every time it made the sad sound. It wasn't happy. It turns out there's a big electrical contactor in the power block, which was cycling intermittently. A helpful forum member told me what capacity was most likely responsible, and he was right! Five cents and some solder later, it powered up! I pulled a VT220 over and connected it, which brought me to a boot prompt! But any attempt to boot from any device (I had 2 fixed drives and a removable as part of the system) just locked things up. Coming out of the back of the machine was a giant 100-pin ribbon cable that daisy chained from one drive to the next. It ended in a unibus card on the end of an 8' extension cable. Clearly intended to plug into another cabinet, which I didn't have. Long story short, the bus wasn't terminated because the termiantor was in the other stack. So I located one on eBay and waited patiently for it to arrive, spending most days on the front steps waiting for the UPS truck in anticipation. In the meantime I redid all of the filtration in the system, which is a lot of it! When the terminator finally did arrive, I installed it and the machine still wouldn't boot. None of the drives seems readable at this point, but at least it was trying. The good news is that I can load old DEC diagnostic packages over the serial port, and it passes all CPU, logic, and disk controller tests. So beyond the physical media (which I can emulate in the worst case) it's up and running, if not doing a lot yet! PS: I bought the M3 new in '03, and it has 12K miles on it now...

Flashback Friday I was working feverishly on my debut DeathRow album … I was producing and 2PAC took it upon himself (as a gift) to executive produce and do some writing which I welcomed and loved him for.. I wasn’t insecure I had already sold forty million records at the time and won every award you could think of and sold out stadiums … a real force to be reckoned with (no tongue hustle) This particular song (Too Late Playa) I was producing. I put Danny Boy’s golden voice on the hook (chorus for you lyricist) and already had the legend Big Daddy Kane on a verse and my Homeboy with the slick tongue Nuttso who also is a cold writer. I had my girl Queen do a cameo and I was waiting on 2PAC to lay his verse.This song was meant to continue with the maturing of my brand and to let the other audience in on what we already knew about me. Pumps and A Bump which was aimed at women but brought a lot of dudes out who despite seeing 300 women in bikinis 👙 could only focus on me and Hank (The slugger) much to my surprise. 😂 They was vocal !!! Bless their little hearts.”Too Late Playa” was a continuous of that Playa,party vibe smoothed out.PAC walks in the studio and I say to him,”I’m not talking to you 2nite cause you haven’t put your verse on this yet … he laughed and I didn’t .. Jean Segura opens up about his fight with Dee Gordon in Seattle; (Translated and written by Master Flip) The biggest issue I ever had in a clubhouse happened in Seattle with Dee Gordon. Dee and I actually got along great at first. He was playing center field after being traded to the Mariners. Robinson Canó was at second, I was at shortstop, and Kyle Seager was at third. We had a solid rapport. Dee would lend me his car, I’d lend him mine. I’d even bring him oxtail or chicken stew. You know how it is with us Latinos, sharing food is our way of showing respect and building bonds with the guys you click with. Our lineup was strong. Dee was hitting leadoff, I was second, Canó third, then Cruz, Seager, we had a good lineup. Then the Canó suspension hit, and Dee moved back to second base. When Canó returned, Dee went back to the outfield. He started struggling out there, dropping balls and they began pulling him for a defensive sub after the seventh inning. He’d bat in the seventh, then Heredia, a Cuban lefty, would come in to replace him defensively. One game, he came into the dugout fuming, slamming things and yelling, “Why put me in the game if they’re just gonna take me out?” Manny Acta was there as a coach and pulled me aside and said, “Leave him alone don’t say a word.” But we were all frustrated. We were grinding out there too, giving everything. After the game, which we won, he showered, got dressed, and didn’t even come out to join the line for handshakes and congratulations like everyone else does after a win. That’s when things escalated. It started in the position players group chat going back and forth, getting disrespectful. Then it turned into direct messages between just us two. We were going at it hard. The next day at the stadium, he cleared the media out. He said, “Media out!” As soon as they left, he looked at me and said, “You got something to say to me?” Then he swung. We started brawling right there in the clubhouse. I didn’t even get a shot off. Mike Zunino, the catcher grabbed me from behind. People might remember the column that came out later suggesting I had an issue with Zunino, but he was just trying to break it up. I basically flung him off because I wanted to get at Dee. It was a total mismatch anyway me versus Zunino. Then Canó and the other guys jumped in, holding me back, telling me to relax and calm down. In the end, Dee apologized. He said he was going through a really tough time and asked me to forgive him. We moved past it on the surface, and everything was fine, but the relationship was never the same. Just a kid from Newark Ohio with a dream to be a MLB pitcher. Crazy to think a kid from Newark was going to in the Major Leagues for 14 years. Thanks my lord and savior for blessing me with the ability to get where i was. Having two amazing parents of Rick and Wendy that helped push me every single day and made sure i not only worked on sports abilities but made sure to keep my focus on work and growing closer with god. This spring my 80lb golden doodle got into a coyote den in the green space right in Bismarck here. We were walking in the green space near my house right at sun down…and as always, I let him run loose to chase pheasants and grouse. I lost track of him for awhile and then I heard a bunch of barking…and since we always see yotes out there trying to lure him in, I knew exactly what was happening… I could hear the barking turn more into fighting yip and yelp noises off in the distance while I was running around trying to find them. I’d have to stop running to be able listen and make sure I was headed in the right direction. Finally, when I got farther down the hill closer to all the noises, my dog Kirby popped out of the tall grass about 200 yards away with three of yotes chasing him and nipping at his heels. I’m guessing he heard me yelling and tried to run toward me, but because they were biting at him he stopped and turned to face all three. He pinned down one that bull rushed him and then he bit and tossed another over his shoulder that also bull rushed him, but right at that moment the biggest one bit his back leg and Kirby let out a big yelp. He spun around and bit that one which backed up and they squared up as the other two tried to regroup. The one Kirby bit and tossed stayed lying down, so I’m assuming it was injured. Kirby’s bit spot was right on the top middle of its spine and it also landed square on its neck/head. That was the only part of the fighting I actually saw as I was sprinting down the last stretch of the hill toward them, so maybe 45 seconds of it. I arrived right when he was squaring off with the biggest one. Right as I got there the yotes backed off a little, but surprisingly not much. Then two more showed up as I was leashing him. So now five of them were circled around us, backing off only a little bit when I yelled and kicked at them. Acting kind of like little mini ugly wolves. As we jogged out, they kept sneaking up behind us and from the sides trying to get at Kirby still. And Kirby was still in a “let me at em” mode which made the jog out difficult lol. After about 1/2 a mile of that, we finally got near the end of the green space and near the street and street lights. So the yotes finally dropped back about 50 yards, and slowed down. That’s when I took this video. But they still followed us into the neighborhood and through the park to my front step, just watching us. Some or all of them may or may not be alive anymore. Tamed city yotes don’t act the same as normal yotes so they’re better off dead for everyone’s sake.
