Ouff colors look weird on this, but I had so much issues trying to upload this on X that I'm not reposting lol. And yes, this is Baidu's Apollo Go in Beijing, which is more impressive than supervised robotaxi. They are already operating in several cities in China. The system's performance was similar to the one I experienced with Wyamo in Phoenix. The service area in Beijing is a bit limited due to regulations, but in other cities, like Wuhan, they cover the whole city.

They already have about 1,000 vehicles and they are currently ramping up with their own electric vehicle explicitly developed for autonomous ride-hailing, RT6. They still have some of their old gen using Arcfox EVs. When in the service area, anyone can order the vehicles using the Apollo Go App, WeChat, or Baidu Map.

For this test, we used a phone from a Baidu employee because you need a Chinese phone number to sign up, but no Baidu employee was in the car with us. We also did a bunch of other rides, including some using the account of one of our production staff, with Baidu employees not being involved. It just works, and it's also impressive how I can adapt to the more aggressive ways of Beijing driving. The car even automatically honked a few times.

Really clutching at straws aren’t you.

If the straws you reference are a superior product than what Tesla currently calls "robotaxi" in South Austin, then yes.

Bruh. 2019 Autopilot could do this drive. It shouldn't be surprising that there's a Waymo equivalent in China. You told us two years ago.

we switch drive halfway through and it handled things more complex that Tesla could ever do in the current south Austin area.

Should you use the trademark name Robotaxi if you’re not in a Tesla? Seems misleading.

Tesla has not yet been able to secure the trademark for good reasons.

Chinese crap can never compete with Tesla

They have 1,000 vehicles currently in operation and no supervision, unlike Tesla, so... you sound pretty salty. haha
