🚨 Woman calls a Black mother the “N-word” at a high school graduation, then snatches a Black mother’s phone and throws it over the railing. It started over seats. She escalated with a racial slur, put her hands on the Black mother first, then destroyed her property. The punch that followed was the response, not the cause. This was not a mutual disagreement. One person chose to attack with a slur and physical force. The other person defended herself. When you start it with a racial slur and put your hands on someone, you do not get to act surprised by the consequences. Accountability belongs to the person who escalated first.
