There was a time we met with President Tinubu, and everybody signed. Even NSA Nuhu Ribadu signed. Peter Odili also signed, but when they came back home, people started misinforming the young man (Fubara) that it's political and he shouldn't do it. At the end of the day, we had a protracted legal crisis, and we won very well. Ordinary, we shouldn't enter into any new agreement with anybody, but President Tinubu, being a father, intervened again. Governors came to me, ministers came, lawyers came, and I told them that I don't like people who don't have the capacity to implement what they've agreed. They assured me it won't happen again, and we agreed to a new set of agreement after holding meetings with Governor Fubara. We then met with President Tinubu again, and the agreement was laid before him, and we all agreed to implement it. Since 2015, the APC has never made an inroad in Rivers State. Tinubu brokers Rivers peace talks President Bola Tinubu hosted a reconciliation meeting on Thursday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, bringing together all the figures in the Rivers State political crisis. Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Speaker Martins Amaewhule, and other Rivers State Assembly members attended the closed-door session.
