This weekend I explored making another game prototype. I grew up playing simulation games like Game Dev Studio and Dungeon Village, so I thought it would be fun to make an MMO dev studio game, where you are the developer building a fledgling MMO for players to play in. I got it to a point where you have. tech tree where you can earn XP and unlock some buildings, NPCs and mobs, enough for me to test the core game loop, but somehow I still feel like it's missing something. There’s a freshness that someone like me who’s acted a lot, things can become repetitive and it’s hard for me to find a new way. But getting to act with nong, where everything feels fresh and is new, I’m able to find/explore a new way along with her. Burning man is 100% what you make it.. u go alone no matter what you think.. you will meet the most unique wierdos in the world , explore the desolate desert full of art and crazy music (good bad new weird noisy, deal with bad weather, hard nights, get lost, find food when your hungry, get muddy, get dusty. basically do all the shit humans did for 1000s of years .. and yes there are tesla batteries, iphone 17s, starlink and warm showers now for those that want it and can pay. but more than half of the people still camp and rough it and spend little money because they prepare for months and live the burner life fully.. and those bring all the vibes . some people spend millions on the other hand .. but you gotta create your experience however you want it .. the good parts extremely outweigh the bad parts 10 fold. there is nothing like it .
