🚨 Donate urgently to help the children of Gaza 🚨 Donate now: Tonight in Gaza… Children are not dreaming about toys. They are not thinking about gifts. They are not asking when the war will end. There is only one question they keep asking: “Will we eat today?” For thousands of families… The answer is: No. 💔 No bread. 💔 No rice. 💔 No flour. 💔 No food waiting for tomorrow. Tonight… Mothers and fathers sit in front of their children feeling helpless. They hear them cry. They see the hunger in their eyes. But they have nothing left to give. Imagine your child coming to you and saying: “Dad… Mom… I’m hungry.” You search every corner of your home… And you find nothing. Not a single loaf of bread. Not a handful of rice. Not even enough to ease the pain of hunger for a few hours. This is not a scene from a movie. This is the reality thousands of families in Gaza are living tonight. Today, the Project Mohammed team continued distributing fresh bread to displaced families. We watched children hold a small piece of bread as if it were the most precious thing they owned. Not because it was delicious… But because it might be the only meal they receive today. In Gaza… Bread is no longer just food. It has become the difference between hunger… and survival. But we are now at a critical moment. Donations have dropped dramatically. If this continues… We may be forced to stop these bread distributions. And that means thousands of children could wake up tomorrow… With nothing at all to eat. 🤍 Deep thanks to those who continue standing with Gaza: Eyup (Eyup Lovely) ❤️ Felix (GoliathFan1952) ❤️ William Menaker (Will 🦥 Menaker) ❤️ Your voices continue giving thousands of children another chance to survive. 🚨 Please, don’t scroll past. Your donation today can become a loaf of bread placed directly into the hands of a hungry child. And if you cannot donate… Please share this message. Your share could reach the one person who makes sure a child eats tomorrow. Donate. Share. Be the reason a child survives. Donate now:

Do you ride a bike? Or an e-scooter? Or walk a dog? If so, please take a second to read this. If you are on a bike or scooter on a shared pathway and approaching someone walking a dog, please be courteous and slow down a little. Especially if coming up from behind. I am a wheelchair user with a dog and we have way too many close calls with fast moving bikes and scooters. People not using a bell and whipping by within inches. If the dog turned it's head or stepped a bit wide, they'd be hit. I'll happily move as far to one side of the path as possible, and if I've got the younger dog who isn't as experienced around fast moving things, I'll stop at the very side and have him sit in front of me to give everyone as much space as possible. If I don't know you're approaching, I can't do that. So please, for the love of dog, use your bell. Don't wait until you're right behind someone with a dog. Use it while you're still at a distance, and if you aren't sure they noticed it, ring it a few more times. Give them as much time as possible to move to the side and prepare the dog. If it's a puppy or a dog that hasn't had much experience with bikes, being able to get them off the path or give them a little extra distance from the fast moving bike helps prevent them from getting scared. The vast majority of cyclists are great and really respectful, but there's always a few that aren't. This year the challenge is kids on e-scooters. They are going fast and having fun. Safety isn't at the forefront of their mind. They often don't use a bell or slow down at blind corners, and many don't think about giving the dog any space. I've been startled a few times by them so I can only imagine how the dog felt. This is one of the reasons why I do a lot of desensitization and counter conditioning. Dog owners-you need to do your part to. If you've got headphones on, make sure you can still hear the bike bell. Make sure to give the cyclist or scooter rider as much space as possible from your dog. And of course, unless you are on a designated off leash trail, keep your dog on a leash. If you have a puppy or a newly adopted dog that might not be comfortable around bikes, take some kibble or treats and go hang out with them near a multi use path. Let them watch. As the bike or scooter approaches, drop a few treats on the ground. For many dogs, this is all it takes, but if your dog is visibly stressed, fixated on the bike, or reacting, try moving a further from the trail and once they're comfortable at a slightly further distance, try closer again. If they are still stressed or fearful even with more distance, don't force the issue. Instead introduce them to a bike that isn't moving, and gradually work them up from there. If they are struggling, talk to a trainer. Regardless of if you are holding a leash, riding a bike or scooter, or enjoying a walk outdoors, just be respectful. And of course, be safe. Thanks, Admin 🎥 Puppy walk for cuteness

How to Build a Proper Product Page It breaks my heart every time I see someone from Brazil, making just $200 a month, spend $40 on a test ad only to get a $2 CPC. Then, they cut the ad at $35 spend with 17 clicks and 0 conversions. What’s even more frustrating is when I visit their site and see it’s a complete mess. It’s like they didn’t even try. That’s why I’m making this post. *Disclaimer: If you're building a brand, this isn’t for you. This is for testing products correctly with a website that’s good enough to convert, but if you’re serious about your brand, hire a Figma designer and a developer to get things done right. As a fun fact, I tested the following product myself (In the video below) and with just one click at a $3 CPC, I got a sale with an $80 AOV (100% CVR). I paused the ads because the CPMs hit $150. If you're interested, save this product for the future. I'll share the creatives i used to ran the product with those who comment below. "jordan, stop teaching high school kids about selling reps and getting them sued by Prada or other big brands, ruining their payment gateways, and crushing their dreams." (with 5 random people only will do it, wouldn't make sense for everyone to be ripping it). Shoutout to Adrian for this one. 🫡 Back to the important stuff: Let’s talk about creating a great product page. First off, ditch the “Buy Now” button. By using this, you miss out on the chance to increase your Average Order Value (AOV) through upsells during checkout. Instead, replace it with an “Add to Cart” button. Also, remove the quantity selector. Hardly anyone uses them on the product page, but they do in the cart. Instead, offer bundles, which you can set up using the Kaching Bundles app or your theme if it supports this feature. The cart experience is crucial, and you can optimize it using the UpCart app. Enable all its product page features so it takes over the standard Shopify cart or your theme’s cart. The built-in cart systems are outdated—they don’t allow upsells like UpCart does. Plus, UpCart directly opens the cart after a product is added, where the upsell option appears at the bottom, increasing your chances of boosting AOV. Pay attention to color schemes. Don’t use neutral colors for headers and buttons if your product features a primary color. A yellow jacket with a black header is like pizza with raspberry syrup—just doesn’t work. If your product images are gray, white, or black, match those with your headers and buttons. Otherwise, play around with colors to give your page some dynamic appeal. Bookmark this site to get color palettes that match your primary color. For exact color matches, download the "ColorZilla" extension, which gives you the exact color code of whatever is under your mouse on the screen. If your product color is #6E402A, you’ll know it and can match it perfectly with your header and buttons, creating a visually appealing contrast like Cider did here below. Right now, when some of you send me these websites, they look like government pages from the early 2000s. Next, consider the typography and button styles. For fonts, use Helvetica Regular for body text and Helvetica Bold for titles, both at a minimum size of 100%. It’s simple and effective. As for buttons, they should have a corner radius of 8px. To change these settings, go to the theme settings - typography/buttons and adjust the buttons and typography accordingly. Rounded buttons create a modern, inviting feel, while full square buttons can give off an outdated vibe. Even casinos in Vegas design their buildings with curves, ensuring that visitors always have a view angle that draws them back in—it’s all about keeping things appealing and engaging. Finally, the product page layout itself should be clean and concise. Use collapsible rows for your product descriptions. No one wants to read a novel, so keep it compact and focused. Images and videos are what sell—this is why we don’t use text-heavy images in our ads; they just bore people. Keep the description short, with enough information to inform but not overwhelm. If you need to include more features, put them in the FAQs section—that’s what they’re for. The goal is to make sure that the "Add to Cart" button is visible as soon as possible once the customer lands on the product page, without overwhelming them but providing just enough information—some key benefits, high-quality images, and buying options in the bundles. Once they hit the cart, the upsells will do their job. Remember, the three essential apps for setting this up are Loox Reviews for customer feedback (use the product widget reviews at the bottom of the page before the FAQs and the rating widget just above the title), Kaching Bundles for offering package deals, and UpCart for optimizing the cart experience. Just for the record, this is to help newcomers and guide them to something taht works, me personally i don't use free themes, but this one i created could convert easily if the product, offer and ads match well. Good luck and keep testing! 🗳🥂💸🤑

CSS Tip! 🎠 You can create a responsive infinite marquee animation with container queries and no duplicate items 🤙 li{ animation: slide; } @keyframes slide { to { translate: 0% calc(var(--i) * -100%);}} The trick is animating the items, not the list 😎 More tricks 👇 To get this one working, you need to animate the items and not the list (Watch the video first?). Each item needs to know its row index (--i) in the list and the parent needs to know how many rows are in the list: ul { --count: 12; } li:nth-of-type(1), li:nth-of-type(2) { --i: 0; } li:nth-of-type(3), li:nth-of-type(4) { --i: 1; } Once you have that, translate each item based on its row index in the list li { translate: 0% calc((var(--count) - var(--i)) * 100%); } Now for the animation. The key here is that each row has an animation-delay calculated from its index (--i). That number is offset to make it negative so the animation start is offset ✨ ul { --duration: 10s; } li { --delay: calc((var(--duration) / var(--count)) * (var(--i) - 8)); animation: slide var(--duration) var(--delay) infinite linear; } Make sure to wrap that animation in: @media (prefers-reduced-motion: no-preference) { ... } Lastly, the fun parts! 🤓 To create the "vignette" mask. Use a layered mask on the container 😷 .scene { --buff: 3rem; height: 100%; width: 100%; mask: linear-gradient(transparent, white var(--buff) calc(100% - var(--buff)), transparent), linear-gradient(90deg, transparent, white var(--buff) calc(100% - var(--buff)), transparent); mask-composite: intersect; } To create the 3D skewed effect, use a chained transform (Try toggling it in the demo ⚡️): .grid { transform: rotateX(20deg) rotateZ(-20deg) skewX(20deg); } As for the responsive part, use container queries! 🔥 article { container-type: inline-size; } When the article (card) is narrower than 400px update the grid and animation settings 🤙 Double the rows means double the duration! @container (width < 400px) { .grid { --count: 12; grid-template-columns: 1fr; } li:nth-of-type(1) { --i: 0; } li:nth-of-type(2) { --i: 1; } li:nth-of-type(3) { --i: 2; } li:nth-of-type(4) { --i: 3; } li { --duration: 20s; } } CSS has the magic to be able to update those animations at runtime based on your custom property values 😎 An added bonus in this demo is that it doesn't require any JavaScript at all, for any of it 🤯 We can use CSS :has() for those toggles that update the styles, even the theme toggle! 🫶 Any questions, let me know! Make sure to check out the video. Will do a walkthrough one to follow-up 🤙 CodePen.IO link below! 👇

Important announcement!!!🫵💥💫 Would you have a tooth pulled if it helped your chances to get an important grant funded? Absurd question (obviously), but the situation right now is so bad funding-wise, that I bet some of you actually considered it for a second… Well, don’t get desperate - we created a new tool that might help! (keep your teeth!) I’m excited to announce that as of today we are officially releasing “QED for Grants” for everyone. What started off as an extension of our existing paper review platform, grew in the last few months to an entirely new design. We’ve been working like crazy on this, and although we have more things we want to add in the (very near) future, we decided to release our AI for grants NOW, earlier than planned. It’s not perfect, no AI is, but for the first time, when I run my own grants through QED Science, I feel it gets the research, finds real problems, and gives me very useful feedback that I can implement before submission. It’s like sending it to 20 scientists from my domain, knowing they’ll agree to dedicate their entire week to carefully read and comment on every line. It’s very important to write your own grants yourself, it makes you think hard and you learn a lot from doing it, and q.e.d’s system is designed to preserve these positive aspects and augment them - you get feedback on your own writing, we don’t write for you!! But at the same time, a typical PI spends many months every year writing proposals and sadly only a tiny fraction gets funded, even if the ideas are good. When you are forced to submit an unreasonable amount of grants the quality of the writing drops, and rejection rates increase. Not because the essence is bad. It’s simply too competitive right now (the cuts made it so much worse) and if your proposal is not super clear and tight, and if it’s not a perfect fit for the grant you’re submitting, you’re doomed. Our grant solution is not an authoring, text-generating tool. It gives you constructive feedback on your writing (it comments on the deep things, not grammar and typos). It’s meant to help you with the questions that torment you late at night (“is this a good fit?”, “Is this novel enough?”, “Did I miss something?”). Tens of thousands of you already use q.e.d to improve your manuscripts and critically read papers, we built the grant tool by the same principles (you’ll identify many of the features that you told us you like). We’ve processed thousands of proposals, learned where things fail, where reviewers get stuck, why good ideas come out weak. We interviewed hundreds of scientists, and also experts who work in funding agencies and university research authorities, and implemented their feedback (we’re constantly looking for more feedback). Our AI is always happy to give you constructive (and polite!) critique, and it will go through your grant line-by-line, forcing you to improve clarity, flag weak points, and push the whole thing to a higher standard. We study, in scale, what gets funded and what doesn’t, and what is the perfect fit for each type of grant. So please, use it, pressure-test it, tell us where it fails, and together we’ll improve it every day to put you in the best position for actually testing your ideas in the real world. As always with q.e.d, the system is completely secured and private, and we are NOT training on your data (see the FAQ on our website). Please like, retweet, and share with your favorite colleagues! 🎋MOCOPI vs VIVE TRACKERS🎋 I got a crazy crazy upgrade on full body tracking thanks to the support of my bambuds, so I made a silly dance comparison to compare the tracking between my old FBT and my new one!! ✨ I danced Bibbidiba by Suisei! (ft. bae as my guide lol) I had to use a different model for the Vive comparison because my Toffee model doesn't work well with the trackers! PROS AND CONS 🔽 1. Mocopi is SO MUCH EASIER to set up! It's very very beginner friendly as well and a great asset to get if you're just starting on doing 3D stuff or want to try it out! Vive trackers are lowkey a pain to set up each time! 2. Vive trackers are EXPENSIIIVEEEE!!!!! The tracking is so so so good but only invest in it if you plan to do lots of 3D content! Mocopi is a much affordable option! 3. Related to point 2, but you get what you pay for when it comes to tracking. Vive may be more expensive, but the tracking quality and accuracy makes it worth it. 4. This is only for people that don't have the Valve Headset, but I use a Quest 3 and I have to do EXTRA SETUP to calibrate the trackers with an external program to use in VRChat! (Mocopi also needs an external program (SlimeVR) but it's much easier to set up imo). 5. Since calibration is paired to your headset with the vive trackers, if your headset goes to sleep or something the calibration will be LOST and you will have to recalibrate again which may take 1 to 2 minutes. Mocopi doesn't have this issue and recalibrating is only one button. 6. Mocopi is an IMU so no base stations required but because of this the trackers need to be recalibrated A LOT of times. This may be annoying if you're streaming and you constantly have to press the button to recalibrate. Vive trackers may take longer but you VERY RARELY have to recalibrate if your headset doesn't go to sleep. 7. Vive trackers take a lot of space on your setup. Each tracker needs to be connected to the PC so if you have a lot you may need to buy an USD hub! 8. You need to have a good room space to use vive trackers properly because the base stations need to have a clear view of your trackers or else they can lose tracking! Mocopi is an IMU, so no amount of obstruction will make the trackers lose tracking. 9. The amount of poses and movement that you can do with vive trackers is NIGHT AND DAY compared to the mocopi. A lot of poses or rapid movements will make the mocopis mess up their tracking and you will have to recalibrate. Vive trackers will not need any recalibration. Basically if you're a vtuber that only wants to dabble into 3D content as a fun little thing I think mocopis are very much a good choice! But if you'd like to do 3D stuff that require more intensive tracking like dancing, vive trackers are excellent and very much worth the price!
