Protesters clashed with federal agents outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on Thursday, January 15, a day after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot a man in the leg. Homeland Security officials say the officer opened fire after he was assaulted by the man and two others with shovels. ICE says all three men are undocumented immigrants and arrested. Demonstrators confronted agents wearing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) uniforms. “Who are you protecting? Who are you protecting? Traitor! Murderer!” one demonstrator shouted at a CBP officer. Pro-ICE activist Jayden Scott also mocked the protesters.
