Microsoft didn't start the Flight Simulator franchise They bought the rights (and the studio) behind it The 1st Flight Simulator was on an Apple II computer ;)

i remember having a blast with that when it was all just low poly things and endless flat plains. F-15 Strike Eagle was pretty rad also.

Microsoft licensed the software from Sublogic in 1982. I can remember playing it on the C64, an amazing game running on only 64KB of RAM.
