Fun fact, the loading animation you see in ChatGPT when you create an image was actually created in Lottielab

@LottielabHQ Fun fact, I actually tried to recreate one of the old chatgpt loader in @LottielabHQ I don't remember for what the loader was for tho...

@rohithatpurpose @LottielabHQ nice great attempt!!

@LottielabHQ I actually thought it was rive! Never used lottielab

@LottielabHQ glad this clarified that ✌️

@LottielabHQ So good! Did they use a LottieLab integration too, or exported back as regular .json?

@LottielabHQ just regular .json for this one

@LottielabHQ Cool discovery

@LottielabHQ Ok! Thx for increasing my knowledge

@LottielabHQ I would never think to add that 'bounce' of the landscape area between states. I bet it'd look really flat without it though.

@LottielabHQ Lottie is so powerful, its our go-to for animations (in-app and web)

@LottielabHQ Simple and delightful.

@LottielabHQ "Don't Starve World Generation"-coded animation

@LottielabHQ could have just been a simple svg animation

yeah if you’re planning to only have 1 asset, but the team didn’t just make one they ended up with tons of visual elements to create, manage, and iterate on and sure, it could’ve been a simple svg animation… but svg is a format, not a workflow. you only go that route if you already know exactly what that asset should be and you don’t need to explore anything visually motion design is as much about the discovery as the final export 🤷

@LottielabHQ that's so cool! never realized Lottie powered that smooth loading animation - it's become such an iconic part of the image gen experience

@LottielabHQ Does @LottielabHQ already have native app on Mac?

@LottielabHQ not atm ✌️

@LottielabHQ never noticed it :))

@LottielabHQ Looks really small and most people wouldn’t notice it. But glad they put effort into the small things!

@LottielabHQ Stop doing useless shit 😆 no one what's to see a loading screen...

@LottielabHQ

@esnob @LottielabHQ I'm not sure if the GIF is loading all I see is white...

@esnob @LottielabHQ

@LottielabHQ Could you please make a tutorial for this animation?

@LottielabHQ just for a second i thought we can create motion animation via chatgpt on lottielab

@LottielabHQ How are you able to tell where people use your product?

@LottielabHQ the designer from OpenAI who worked on that animation reached out to us for support during the build, that’s how we knew

@LottielabHQ Nice, I need to start learning this tool, I started with lottiecreator though, is that cool?

@LottielabHQ Lottielab is actually quite fundamentally different from Lottie Creator. It’s geared more for designers in mind, so just treat it as if it’s @Figma that could move forwards and backwards in time 😉

@LottielabHQ @figma Oh thank you so much for this, I was just looking for something with less steep learning curve, I guess I will have to learn lottielab still.

@LottielabHQ @figma yeah feel free to explore it! if you have any feedback to make your experience with the tool easier, feel free to DM me too and if you’re just starting out with motion, i recommend recreating this simple asset!

@penkennyUI @LottielabHQ @figma I’m gonna try my hand at recreating this. It will be my first

@darel023 @LottielabHQ @figma Yeah you should definitely do, I have been using lottielab now and I promise it’s fun

@LottielabHQ you can just build things

@LottielabHQ That's so cool, I never realized those smooth looping animations were made with Lottie! Makes total sense though given how lightweight and scalable it is.

@LottielabHQ cool, so even the loading animation is outsourced. really capturing the spirit of modern ai development

@LottielabHQ hmm not sure where you read that it’s outsourced, a designer from OpenAI built this loading animation. quick read-thru would’ve caught that

@LottielabHQ that's actually such a cool behind-the-scenes detail - did you work with the ChatGPT team on implementing it?

@LottielabHQ is this for real... omg, bro u got some serious disorders.... for real tho

@LottielabHQ
