Western Imitation, Local Destruction: How Drunken Celebrations Are Ruining Our City image This is not our city’s culture, and it is certainly not our country’s culture. What we are witnessing today in the name of New Year celebrations is the unchecked influence of so-called Western culture that is ruining the image, pride, and values of our city. Drinking excessively, falling on the streets, fighting in public, abusing others, and creating ruckus on roads and footpaths is not celebration it is irresponsible and shameful behavior. True celebration reflects joy, dignity, respect, and togetherness, not chaos and lawlessness. Turning public roads into drinking zones, disturbing families, harassing passersby, and endangering lives after consuming alcohol only shows a lack of civic sense and moral responsibility. Such actions tarnish the reputation of our city, which has long been known for its culture, discipline, and inclusive spirit. Many people come to this city from outside to work hard, build a better life, and contribute positively to society and that is welcome. But choosing drunken misconduct, public nuisance, and violent behavior in the name of a “good life” is not progress. It reflects poor values and disrespect toward the city that provides opportunities and livelihood. Our streets are not places for drunken drama. Our festivals and celebrations should never become excuses for breaking the law or humiliating our culture. The youth, in particular, must understand that freedom does not mean indiscipline, and enjoyment does not justify harming others or damaging the city’s image. If such behavior continues unchecked, it will only lead to stricter laws, loss of public trust, and a permanent stain on the city’s reputation. It is time to celebrate responsibly, respect local culture, obey the law, and uphold the dignity of the city and the country we are proud of.Heartfelt thanks to BengaluruTrafficPolice official, who worked tirelessly, sacrificed their own celebrations, and stood firm to ensure public safety and order. No matter whether the Chief Minister changes or not, the condition of Bengaluru's roads seems to remain the same. Just look at the state of this road. Thousands of citizens use this stretch every day for their daily commute, yet it has been reduced to what looks more like an off-road track than a city road. The entire stretch is filled with craters, broken surfaces, loose gravel, and missing tar. Driving here is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. During rains, these potholes become even more hazardous, increasing the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. Citizens continue to pay taxes, road tax, fuel tax, and various other levies with the expectation of receiving basic infrastructure and safe roads. But looking at conditions like these, one question naturally arises: Where is the taxpayers' money going? Bengaluru deserves better. Safe and well-maintained roads are not a luxury they are a basic necessity for every citizen. Karnataka State Police S. After the infamous delay and abandonment of the Ejipura flyover, this seems set to become yet another glaring example of mismanagement and negligence by the authorities in Karnataka. Why were these pillars constructed in the first place if the project was not going to be completed on time? Such half-finished infrastructure not only wastes public money but also creates inconvenience, traffic chaos, and safety risks for citizens. It raises serious questions about planning, accountability, and the misuse of taxpayer funds. Projects are announced with great enthusiasm, budgets are sanctioned, and construction begins but somewhere along the way, everything comes to a standstill. Is it due to corruption, lack of coordination, or sheer administrative failure? The public deserves answers. These incomplete structures stand as silent reminders of broken promises and poor governance. If strict action is not taken against those responsible, such failures will continue to repeat, ultimately eroding public trust in the system. Karnataka State Police S. Sunroof Shenanigans: Public Road Becomes Private Bedroom for Bengaluru Couple What is truly happening to people these days? In yet another bizarre and concerning incident, a young couple was caught on camera engaging in highly inappropriate behavior through the sunroof of a moving car on Bengaluru’s busy Trinity Road. The footage, which has now gone viral, shows the duo openly kissing and displaying excessive public affection all while the vehicle was in motion, drawing the attention and concern of fellow commuters and pedestrians alike. This reckless act took place under the jurisdiction of the Halasuru Traffic Police, raising not only questions about moral decency in public spaces but also serious concerns about road safety. It is both shocking and disheartening that such behavior is now being flaunted without any fear of consequences, as if public roads have become private lounges for attention-seeking stunts. Not only is this a blatant violation of traffic norms and decency, but it also poses a grave danger to the safety of everyone on the road. Engaging in such irresponsible acts inside a moving vehicle especially through a sunroof is a disaster waiting to happen. One wrong turn, a sudden brake, or a distracted driver could result in fatal consequences. Moreover, this kind of public display is not just disrespectful, it sets a very poor example, especially for younger viewers and children who may witness such acts in public. Freedom and modernity must never come at the cost of safety, decency, and mutual respect in a civil society. It’s high time that authorities take strict action against such reckless behavior and enforce traffic and decency laws more rigorously. Bengaluru is already battling congestion, poor infrastructure, and road safety challenges the last thing the city needs is a culture of careless stunts and irresponsible public behavior. Karnataka State Police HALASURU GATE BCP S. Drunk, Abusive & Above The Law?” Bengaluru Road Rage Incident Sparks Outrage After Woman Rider Allegedly Threatens Family On 8th Mile Road A disturbing case of alleged road rage and reckless behaviour has been reported from 8th Mile Road, Bengaluru. A citizen stated that yesterday, while her friend and family were returning from their hometown to Bengaluru, they witnessed a shocking incident involving a rider of vehicle number KA-06-HP-1149. According to the complaint, the girl riding the vehicle was allegedly not wearing a helmet, violating basic traffic rules, and behaving aggressively on the road. The complainant further alleged that she used extremely abusive language towards them in public, creating panic and discomfort among other commuters. 🚨 Locals in the area reportedly claimed that the rider appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. If true, drunk driving combined with rash and aggressive behaviour is not just irresponsible it is a serious threat to public safety. Bengaluru roads are already witnessing increasing cases of road rage, reckless riding, signal jumping, and dangerous driving, putting innocent lives at risk every single day. Traffic rules are meant for everyone equally, regardless of gender, background, or influence. No one should feel entitled to break the law, abuse citizens, or create chaos on public roads. Wearing a helmet, following traffic rules, and behaving responsibly are the minimum duties of every road user. Such aggressive behaviour on busy roads can easily lead to accidents, injuries, or even loss of life. Road rage incidents are becoming alarmingly common in Bengaluru, and strict action is necessary to send a strong message that irresponsible and abusive behaviour on public roads will not be tolerated. Civic sense, discipline, and respect for fellow commuters are essential to make roads safer for everyone. Karnataka State Police S. We always complain about the traffic in Bengaluru, but imagine this what if someone told you that the entire weekend crowd of the city had moved to Nandi Hills instead? That’s exactly what it feels like these days. Due to the beautiful weather and the craze to witness the iconic sunrise, a massive traffic jam was seen at Nandi Hills, with vehicles lined up for kilometres. People were waiting for hours just to get a glimpse of the sunrise. But this sudden rush is not just creating traffic chaos it is also putting immense pressure on the environment. Nandi Hills is a natural heritage spot, a peaceful escape from the city. When thousands of people flock there at once, it leads to overcrowding, littering, and disturbance to the fragile ecosystem. It’s a humble request to the public: please avoid unnecessary crowding and respect nature. Enjoy the beauty of Nandi Hills, but don’t dirty the surroundings or spoil the serenity that makes the place special. Natural spots are gifts they stay beautiful only when we protect them. Let’s be responsible travellers and keep Nandi Hills clean, calm, and safe for everyone. Karnataka State Police S.
