I would still beat my kids behind for letting someone talk him into doing something so stupid. Thankfully, my wife isn’t dumb, and we respect one another, so it wouldn’t happen in my home.

Im sure many of these are staged but I'm shocked so many parents/fathers would hit their children.

I’ve never been one for litmus tests in a relationship, but any father, father-to-be or woman who doesn’t have a man who IMMEDIATELY reacts this way to (real) petulant children, is making or has made a terribly bad mistake in the man they chose. A father who does not react in such a manner is neither a real man nor a proper father figure. The first four to five years of a child’s relationship with their father involves developing and inculcating the complete faith and knowledge that their father is willing to “end” them for bad conduct and a lack of respect.
