VHS Forever 📼 ❤️ 📹 Coming to Criterion Channel March 1! This ode to analog traces the ripple effect that VHS had on the wider pop-culture landscape and imagination. Together they comprise a panoramic meta-history of the distinctively grainy, static-flecked medium that forever altered our relationship to the moving image.

I buy blank VHS tapes looking for lost media. While this is not lost media, I see some rad stuff. 😄 Check out this super rad VERY 90s NES ad recorded from a FOX Kids TV block. 🔥📼

In my search for lost media on old VHS, I find some really rad stuff. 📼🔥 Like this "Made in Japan" promo from Fox Family showcasing some awesome daytime anime like Digimon and Megaman's animated series from the year 2000-2001 ⭐️

🚨 #PoppyPlaytime CHAPTER 5 News! ⁉️ The Prototype IS Leith Pierre? 👉 In the new VHS 📼, when the Prototype finds Jessica Newman, she is heard apologizing and begging the Prototype, saying: "Leith Pierre, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!". ⚠️ However, this theory is completely contradictory to multiple elements, such as the VHS in Chapter 3 where Leith Pierre is heard talking to the Prototype. ❌ So, either we are misunderstanding the VHS, or there is a hidden meaning (perhaps Jessica wanted to speak to the Prototype about Leith Pierre?). Only time will tell! #PoppyPlaytimeChapter5

Finished this desktop app that does CRT shaders and VHS/composite video distortion 🙌 I was tired of doing those in separate apps, so I figured I'd just put them together. AFAIK, it's the only one that does both at this level of quality and control. It supports images and videos, with VERY granular control over every parameter from subtle to completely obliterated. To be clear, I'm a dummy. This is just hacking together two existing open source projects that are the best in the world at what they do: NTSC-RS for the TV effect, and the CRT shaders from Retroarch. Download link in the replies 🧵

This is one of the most important movies you can watch at this very moment. Take the hour and learn about the Edward Bernays world you and I live in. From a VHS tape for you to see today. Be ready to understand how you and I have been played.

For being a low-budget effort by actor George Eastman (the guy who eats his own guts in Antropophagus), Metamorphosis (1990) had some fantastic poster art, and received this sweet 3D VHS box with lights and sound. Not to be confused with Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990).

RIP Jon Rappoport! In 1998 a friend gave me a box of VHS tapes and one of them had this interview with Jon Rappoport and David Icke which sent me down the rabbit hole and eventually on a life's mission to Press For Truth! Thank you for the inspiration Jon, you will be missed.

#Telangana: Few Tahsildars are running a seperate mafia, the way they harass people in the name of rule book and themselves exploit it. Imagine Tahsildar demanded Rs 2L for a Rs 30L deal. Not sure about how soon prosecution will come but suspension should not be revoked.

SLANG: YELLOW DOG [1999] Directed By: Kazuyoshi Ozawa Full RIP. Captured from a SONY S-Video VCR for the highest quality. With chapter markers, highlight and contrast adjustments. Audio is in PCM. One of the finest films by Kazuyoshi Ozawa (Also the lead) this film never got a DVD, and the VHS is very rare. This film is not on streaming services or anywhere online. Very Hong Kong inspired gunplay and a blast all round. This couldn't be possible without MOVIE FREAK who gifted me the VHS many years ago and H A S S A N & One Perfect HEADshot who donated on me getting a top of the line S-Video VCR from SONY a few years back. Share it everywhere and give credit. Jon W. (v2) Also make sure you have MEGA on your PC to bypass limitations.

Virtual Combat (1995). A.K.A. Grid Runners, this one went straight to video and perhaps that's a good place for it. It's fun, but it's definitely VHS material. Virtual Reality cyberbabes and several mad martial artists leave the world of Las Vegas cyberspace (somehow) and cause mayhem all over town. Don 'The Dragon' Wilson is the kickboxer who will reboot them with his nunchucks. Fights will happen, helicopters will explode, women will wear leather and do roundhouse kicks. Many computer screens will flash warning signs and some VFX will occur. It's all fast paced stuff!
