F-Zero 1990 Super Nintendo Mario Kart fans aren’t ready for this but… F-Zero on SNES was the better racer! It’s criminal that this series is no longer. What do you think?

F-Zero is indeed the best racing game on the SNES. Super Mario Kart has aged significantly, whereas F-Zero remains just as excellent 35 years later.

F-Zero 99 is still big on the Switch. Downside is you have to pay for the online services to play it..

The crisp gameplay, challenge for you & your friends to beat track record times, the soundtrack, the smooth graphics (relative to that time of course) came together for a superb game. So many hours enjoying F Zero 🎮

It also had a series or mcdonalds happy meal toys too

I came to love Mario Kart, but I was initially very disappointed to get it instead of F-Zero 2.

Maro Kart on SNES sucks, and MK64 is good only because it is a broken mess. F-zero has always been awsome.

F-Zero is the greatest video game of all time in my book.

Original Mario Kart had more tracks, racers, battle mode, split screen play and you could practice on all the tracks. F-Zero was cooler, faster, better OST, but the lack of a 2 player mode meant you couldn’t race a sibling or friend which is where it falls down for me.

Hate to tell you but it definitely was not. F-Zero was on my lower end of all racing games I’ve ever played.

Why they didn't just let Sega keep making F-Zero is mind boggling

Although I lived Fzero, Mario kart had more depth to it. Took some time to learn the tracks, the drift aspect was cool and the battle mode was amazing. Who can forget rainbow road for the first time !

There's a modern version of this

It’s a sequel that retains the old-school style. While controls geared toward casual players have been added, the classic races remain unchanged—that’s the kind of sequel this is.
