😩💔 THIS IS SHAMEFUL AND PAINFUL TO WATCH I really feel for Ronwen Williams and the entire Bafana Bafana team. Imagine stepping onto the biggest stage in football, representing your country, only to hear fellow Africans cheering against you because of political tensions and the actions of a few xenophobic people back home. For decades, many South Africans have supported African teams at the World Cup regardless of whether they were from West, East, North, Central or Southern Africa. When an African nation played, many of us proudly said, "Africa must win." Seeing Bafana Bafana being booed by fellow Africans is heartbreaking. Football has always had the power to unite people across borders, languages and politics. Whatever our disagreements may be, the players on that pitch didn't create them. They deserve support for representing the continent with pride. Football should bring Africa together, not drive us further apart. 🇿🇦❤️⚽

I agree with what South Africa’s Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, is saying, and it speaks directly to the crisis in which not only South Africa, but Southern Africa as a region, now finds itself. First of all, it is the responsibility of individual countries to ensure that they have government policies that grow their economies and provide jobs for their own people, so that their citizens can work at home instead of being insulted or forced into slave-like jobs in neighbouring countries. That responsibility lies with each government. That said, South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress, must sing from the same hymn sheet as Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni. You cannot have the government saying one thing while the ruling party, which constitutes part of that government, does something different. The ANC has consistently supported corrupt regimes that rig elections, and those rigged elections create the very conditions that South Africa now finds itself dealing with. I have said for more than seven years now that neighbouring countries are no longer only a foreign policy issue for South Africa. They are now a domestic issue too, because citizens from those countries live in South African communities and use South African social services, including hospitals. The South African government has said many times that 70% of women giving birth at Musina Hospital are from Zimbabwe. As such, it is important for the South African government not only to say the right words at specific moments, while privately continuing to support corrupt rule and bad governance in the region. That will not work. Yesterday’s march will achieve nothing if President Cyril Ramaphosa does not sit down with President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, President Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, and President Peter Mutharika of Malawi to have these discussions honestly, because those are three countries that contribute significantly to regional migration into South Africa, both legal and illegal. Of course, he can also have conversations with President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria, because Nigeria is also part of the problem. Speaking as a citizen of Southern Africa, what the minister said is correct, but it must be followed up with action, not just words to appease journalists and viewers at a specific time because the government is under pressure. The South African government must make this its policy. The contradiction is that the South African economy benefits from migration and from shipping goods into the region. Zimbabwe’s biggest trading partner is South Africa for that very reason. So this is a complex issue that must be addressed with the intellectual weight it deserves, not reduced to talking points for politicians making fanciful declarations in their different countries without following through. Start with the SADC protocols. They determine what a free election is. But if the African National Congress publicly emboldens and supports rigged elections, it cannot then turn around and say African governments must take responsibility when it is failing to lead by example. The ANC must lead by example in regional bodies like SADC and the African Union, and say these things directly to fellow leaders. But we all know why it does not do that. It is because of personal relationships, political convenience, and money changing hands. It is time these things are put on the table, and if need be, let the truth be known. Lastly, I also agree with what the minister says regarding African countries supporting South Africa’s liberation struggle. We cannot endlessly remind South Africans that we helped them, because that support was never based on a quid pro quo arrangement. It was based on what was morally right at that time. If the same situation arose again today, we should do exactly the same. Standing against injustice should never come with an invoice.

“All hope is not løst. If you are a Nigerian married couple living in South Africa and you want to relocate back to Nigeria, you can consider relocating to Port Harcourt, Rivers State. I have just bought a mini estate for you people where you and your family will live until you get back on your feet.” — Apostle Chibuzor, General Overseer of OPM, to stranded Nigerians in South Africa According to him, he will provide housing for them in the newly acquired estate, enroll all their children in free OPM schools, help the wives start small businesses, and allow the husbands to learn free skills under OPM, with free meals once daily.

ZANUPF has done many terrible things, but it is important to acknowledge that there are certain good things it did too. One of them was allowing Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) to operate from Zimbabwe, pass through Zimbabwe, and even use the Zimbabwe National Army to move its weapons from Zambia to South Africa. I know you are basing your statement on a short video clip which occasionally circulates online, showing Robert Mugabe being interviewed by British television. In that interview, he was asked if he would allow South Africans to fight militarily from Zimbabwe, and he replied that South Africans would fight militarily in South Africa not Zimbabwe. Anyone with a bit of common sense would understand that Mugabe could never have gone on British television and publicly said that Zimbabwe was helping South Africans militarily to fight apartheid from Zimbabwean soil. It is like expecting O. R. Tambo to go on British or American television and expose the tactics used to fight the apartheid regime. That would not have been a smart thing to do. It simply requires a bit of emotional intelligence to understand that when watching that video clip. If you are not aware of the history, read about the number of bombings that took place in Zimbabwe — bombings carried out by the apartheid South African regime in retaliation for Zimbabwe’s support of the liberation struggle in South Africa. Even your own former president Thabo Mbeki spoke about how Zimbabwe helped South Africa militarily during that period. That said, this is not an excuse to justify illegal immigration simply because Zimbabwe helped South Africa during the struggle. Zimbabwe did the right thing at the time. I am one of those who have consistently said that I am opposed to illegal immigration because it is a crime. However, that does not give anyone the right to insult or abuse Africans particularly Zimbabweans who are living legally in South Africa and have committed no crime. There are South Africans living in Zimbabwe too. One of the biggest mining companies in Zimbabwe, Zimplats, is South African-owned through Impala Platinum Holdings Limited. The bulk of Impala Platinum Holdings Limited’s earnings and revenue come from Zimbabwe not South Africa. Those are the taxes that pay grants to South Africans, it takes a bit of reading to understanding the interconnectedness. It is therefore foolish to say you don’t want Zimbabweans who are living legally in South Africa to do so. It is crazy! There are many other South African companies operating in Zimbabwe, and even your former vice-president, DD, owns a mine in Zvishavane. It is healthy for South Africans to have conversations about issues affecting their country. It is also healthy to discuss illegal immigration — that is part of responsible citizenship. But when you start going after people like Peter Ndoro, who are in South Africa legally, and others who are even naturalised South Africans, it becomes clear that the issue is no longer about immigration. It is about targeting Africans — it is Afrophobia. There are many white Zimbabweans living in South Africa, some legally and some illegally, yet I have never heard anyone mention them. Instead, the focus is always on black Africans who are in South Africa legally and contributing to society. That is not about protecting borders or enforcing immigration laws — that is about self-hate, the internalised racism that drives some Africans to turn on their fellow Africans.

Had an awesome time ministering at YouthFest at Supersport Park! What an incredible atmosphere filled with faith, passion, and purpose. I had the privilege of challenging the youth to rise up and become the leaders of today—not waiting for some future opportunity, but taking responsibility right now to influence their schools, campuses, communities, and nation for good. The youth of South Africa are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are leaders today. Every generation has a responsibility to stand for truth, lead with courage, and make a difference where God has placed them. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. I left inspired and full of hope. The future is bright because a new generation is emerging—passionate for God, committed to purpose, and ready to transform our nation.

When I shared this video last week of South African businessman Rob Hersov telling us what Trump is doing to South Africa now, many dismissed Hersov as a liar. His words have come to pass! Many are wondering why Trump chose aid cuts for South Africa rather than sanctions or tariffs. The people urging him on and falsely claiming that white South Africans are being persecuted by their government are white business owners and pressure groups. They know that sanctions or tariffs would hurt them, whereas cutting aid will supposedly harm poor black South Africans and the government. Luckily for South Africa, only 17% of its antiretroviral support comes from America, and it receives no other aid from there according to President Ramaphosa! It is time for African countries to wean themselves off Western donor aid. We do not need it; what we need is trade, especially among ourselves, and an end to corruption. Africa is a continent of roughly 1.5 billion people, as big as China, we need to focus on trade. We have been saying this for years, hopefully the leaders will now see some light! And to the Black South Africans who were cheering on Trump, they say you do not kick a man when he is down! In Zimbabwe, we have a saying: a dog’s puppies do not open their eyes on the same day.

You can call the South-Africans whatever names you want but ONE THING you must give to them: They know how to rise to check EXISTENTIAL THREATS against them. And they keep their words! It's 30th June. If anyone thought it was a joke now they will wake up. However you look at it, the IMMEDIATE CATALYST of this current crisis is the idiot fellow who declared himself EZE NDIGBO on their land. Their main issues are with Nigerians and we all know who those are in South-Africa and the things they have done in that country with DRUGS. It nearly got to this in Ghana and the issues were the same - DRUGS AND EZE NDIGBO. It is the issues in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and indeed in so many countries outside Africa. It was the issue in DUBAI. It is the same issues we are contending with in LAGOS AND ACROSS YORUBA LAND, its been so for about 40years but we treat it with kid gloves. We are the same ones joining to condemn South-Africas. Alaaru to n'je buredi. #YorubaRonu #ThinkYorubaFirst #WeHaveMissedRoad © Adedamola Adetayo 30 June 2026

To every South African that has been preaching how xenophobic we are. Your ignorance comes at a price, we don’t benefit from having foreigners in our country, we are running at a deficit. The money meant to grow our economy is flowing out of our borders.Every year, South Africa watches billions of rands leave its borders. Between 2016 and 2024 alone, over R112.6 billion was remitted from South Africa to SADC countries. R19.3 billion left in 2024 alone, with Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi accounting for 90% of all payments. Zimbabwe received R47.2 billion between 2020 and 2024. And these are only the formal, recorded flows, an estimated R3.5 billion more moves informally, often through unregulated channels. Meanwhile, the World Bank reports that Africa received 19.8 billion, Ghana 3.0 billion, Uganda $1.49 billion. These remittances are not investments in South Africa. They are not building our roads, funding our schools, or creating jobs for our youth. They are extracted wealth earned here, sent home. And they are enough to build entire nations. Nigeria's $19.8 billion could fund universal healthcare. Zimbabwe's $3 billion could rebuild its education system. But instead, the money flows out, and the burden of housing, feeding, and healthcare for those who send it remains on South African taxpayers. Foreign nationals in South Africa often work in low-wage sectors, undercutting local workers, while sending the bulk of their earnings back home. The South Africa to Malawi corridor is among the most expensive in the region, with costs exceeding 17%. South Africa's migrants are paying an average of 19.4% to send $200 to Malawi, making it the costliest corridor in the region. Yet even at these prices, billions flow out. This is why we are called xenophobic. Not because we hate foreigners. Because we are being used. We are being bled dry. Our infrastructure crumbles while their economies grow on our backs. We are not a country, we are a cash cow. The remittances that leave our borders could build hospitals in Harare, schools in Lilongwe, roads in Maputo. Instead, we are left with the cost of overcrowded clinics, under-resourced schools, and communities that feel abandoned by their own government. We are not xenophobic. We are tired. We are tired of being the continent's ATM, tired of carrying burdens that are not ours, tired of being called hateful while they send their billions home and leave us with the scraps. It is time for South Africa to ask, how much longer will we be the engine that powers other nations while our own people suffer? Enough. The billions must stay. The borders must be secured. And our people must come first. 🇿🇦✊🏾

I want my followers to understand that you SHOULDN’T insult South Africa as a country based on a few loud voices on social media who express racist or xenophobic views. South Africa has provided numerous opportunities to the world, particularly to Africans. If South Africans were truly xenophobic, Africans would not be living there in such large numbers today. The majority of South Africans are welcoming to all foreigners who are legally in the country and do not commit crimes. These foreigners work with South Africans, live with them, and many are married to South Africans. There is nothing to worry about in South Africa if you are there legally and not committing crimes. South African citizens have the right to express concerns about illegal foreign nationals and those who commit crimes. In Zimbabwe, illegal foreigners are often placed in dilapidated jails, and refugees are housed in camps like Tongogara in Manicaland. Generalisations are dangerous, especially when they taint and insult a silent majority that is not xenophobic. Local communities in South Africa have protected foreign nationals from a small, violent minority on many occasions. The South African government is not xenophobic either. If it were, Zimbabwean women, who make up 70% of pregnant women giving birth at Musina Hospital in Limpopo, would not be allowed there. We should be grateful for the South African hospitality we have received for decades. It is important to recognise that while xenophobia and racism may exist in certain pockets of society, these attitudes do not reflect the majority of South Africans or the country as a whole. Respecting the rights of South African citizens to voice concerns about illegal immigration and crime is important, as these are valid issues. However, it is equally important to avoid generalising these concerns to portray the entire nation as xenophobic or unwelcoming. If South Africans were truly xenophobic, parties like PA and Action SA would be in power today. The four largest political parties in South Africa have never used xenophobia as a campaign platform, which should be telling. Do not judge a nation's character based on a few loud, yet inconsequential voices on social media. They do not represent South Africa accurately. Countries are a product of their history. We shouldn’t draw comparisons with where we come from and insist that our hosts should behave as we do. If South Africans were to follow our practices in Zimbabwe, refugees would be in camps and illegal foreigners would be in jail! In Zimbabwe, refugees are not even allowed to work, if you are found working, you are thrown into jail. South Africa, on the other hand, provides equal legal rights in its courts to foreigners as it does to South Africans. These actions are not those of a xenophobic country. Zimbabwe has refused to issue documents to people of Malawian and Zimbabwean origin, and it has revoked the citizenships of many Zimbabweans whose great-grandparents came from elsewhere. In any society, you are going to have opportunistic politicians and unemployables who think that all their problems are caused by foreigners, we have them everywhere, but they shouldn’t be used to define a whole nation!

This report by Sky News Africa correspondent Yousra Elbagir is heartbreaking yet typical for both poor Zimbabweans and their counterparts in South Africa, who are pitted against each other by South African politicians who use the immigration crisis to explain the stagnant South African economy and lack of jobs for poor and uneducated South Africans. My unsolicited advice to the South African Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber is that he is dealing with a political problem, not a technical one. My advice to ordinary South Africans is that mass deportations are a waste of time and your taxpayers money. Those deported today will return tomorrow, thanks to your border officials who demand bribes, it is a revolving door, and the porous border. I can get a bus full of people without passports to come into South Africa through the border not the river or back to Zimbabwe through the border again, thanks to the corruption on the South African side at the BeitBridge border post. This issue will not go away unless and until the ANC realises that it will lose power in 2029 and local government votes in 2026 for supporting ZANUPF’s corrupt rule. As I said, the real problem lies in the political and economic crisis in Zimbabwe, which the ANC has nurtured for decades at the expense of its own survival and its own people. The ANC risks losing power if it continues to babysit ZANUPF, this will happen in 2029 if nothing changes and the economy continued to stagnate. You do not hear of a Zambian illegal immigrant problem in South Africa because there is no political crisis in Zambia. Poorer countries than Zimbabwe, like Malawi, Botswana, and Namibia, have never caused an illegal immigrant crisis in South Africa because they also don’t have a political crisis which manifests through thrift economies. The last time you saw an opposition South African politician at the Limpopo River addressing this issue was during election season, when Gayton McKenzie and his gang were shouting and chanting “Abahambe,” at Limpopo River. They got the votes and have never been back since—that is politicians for you. You will see them again before the 2026 local government elections, using the same gimmick, “Abahambe.” Voters enjoy being played and being made to feel good through empty promises and lies. Gayton is now in government and cabinet, the right place to bring up the Zimbabwe political crisis because it is the root cause of illegal immigration. Has he done that? So, there are three things to take away from this ongoing immigration crisis; 1. that mass deportations will never work, as they are simply another avenue for bribes; this is not a technical problem but a political one. 2. Zimbabweans must also understand that the immigration debate in South Africa is based on real concerns from ordinary South Africans, as big businesses prefer illegal Zimbabwean labour to locals because they are underpaid and not unionised as illegal immigrants. So don’t insult uneducated South Africans saying they don’t want the waiting and cleaning jobs, they do, but they can’t take them at such low wages caused by cheap labour provided by illegal immigrants. I am in South African for a week attending to business meetings, today I took a drive to Pretoria to talk to Zimbabweans who are affected by the crisis back home and are seeking leave to live in South Africa after watching the Sky News report. I saw Zimbabwean criminals working in cahoots with local criminals taking money from unsuspecting Zimbabwean immigrants who want to regularise their paperwork. This is not even corruption, they were taking money from these poor Zimbabwean people lying that they can expedite their applications and then disappearing. I saw it with my own eyes, I don’t understand how a Zimbabwean can come to South Africa and steal from another Zimbabwean who is also struggling. But they do it, and the women selling mealies outside the Home Affairs offices in Pretoria told me that they do it daily, where is the police? These criminals lie to these people that they are agents and they can take their papers inside, they even call someone pretending that you are speaking to a South African Home Affairs officials. If the South African police go there tomorrow, they will be there! But as I said, all these are symptoms of a bigger and real problem, the political crisis in Zimbabwe, unless if it is resolved, South Africans who are not yet born will still be faced with the same crisis of illegal immigration decades to come! Zimbabwe is no longer a foreign policy issue for the South African government, it is now a demestic policy issue because thes illegal immigrants need healthcare, your law says you must provide it. One unanswered question is why is the ANC doing something that is killing it slowly, the more illegal immigrants are in South Africa, the more it loses its once tight grip on power resulting in GNUs and eventually outright loss? Why?

🚨PART 1: The Story of Lauren – A South African Without Papers 💔 This is Lauren's story. Lauren says South Africa is the only home she has ever known. She grew up here, went to school here, completed her matric here, built her life here and has never lived in Zimbabwe. Her parents migrated to South Africa years ago, but never regularised their immigration status. Now, as an adult, Lauren says she finds herself undocumented and facing deportation to a country she has never called home. The situation becomes even more heartbreaking. Lauren has a child whose father is South African. According to her interview, the child may be able to receive South African documentation, but her own future remains uncertain. She also says there are disputes over whether she can leave the country with her child. This raises difficult questions that go beyond politics. How many young people are in a similar position — raised in South Africa from childhood, educated in our schools, speaking our languages, yet now facing removal because decisions made by their parents years ago have caught up with them? This is not just Lauren's story. It could be the story of many others living quietly in the same situation. What should happen in cases like this? Should government create a pathway for people who have spent almost their entire lives in South Africa, or should immigration laws be applied strictly regardless of personal circumstances? What would you do if you were making this decision? 💔🇿🇦

Journalist: Steve Witkoff, Trump's negotiator, goes to Moscow, he talks to Putin, he comes back, the messages are then relayed to you. A lot of people would say, that he is absorbing Putin's talking points, Russia's narrative, and they are putting it to you and getting you to agree that they're putting you under a lot of pressure. Zelenskyy: Today I cannot say that for certain. Do you know why? Because Witkoff says the opposite. I met with their group more often than with the Russians. That is what he says. Indeed, I have had many meetings with the President Trump, while President Trump has only one meeting with Putin. My opinion, they should stop the Russians, not try to please them. Because they will lie anyway. They care only about themselves and their own interests❗️

This is exactly what Dr Solomon Guramatunhu means when he says that ZANUPF is a reflection of the people it leads. You leave Zimbabwe for greener pastures in England and set up a new life there. Then you ruin it all by getting so drunk and then getting behind the wheel and driving. How different are you, really, from the very leaders you ran away from? You put the lives of other motorists at serious risk, all for the love of alcohol. As Dr Nkosana Moyo told me over breakfast in 2019, even a change of government will not bring change unless we first change the nation's mindset. The tragedy is that some fools will still come out to defend this stupidity. You cannot have a Zimbabwe different from the one under ZANUPF today if the citizen does not change their mindset. If you do not care about other motorists dying from your stupidity, how different are you from those who do not care about killing fellow citizens through misrule? If you live in a democracy like Britain, where the rules are fair to all, how can a democratic Zimbabwe, assuming it ever comes, be any different with such a mindset? We need to change our own thinking and habits first, before we demand that others change theirs. This was sheer stupidity, and it could have been lethal, not just to him, but to other innocent people.
