Galagos, also known as bush babies

Such a cute pet, but in reality bush babies should be in their natural habitat. Some animals were never meant to be domesticated. I get dogs because we basically bred them for that, but these little guys are better off in their habitat.

This is concerning. What a shame.

They seem to be very tiny dogs in behaviour, but unlike dogs they are not domesticated and should not be removed from their natural environment.

Stop the trade and trafficking of exotic animals! This is a multi-billion-dollar global illegal industry, ranking as the 4th largest criminal enterprise after the narcotics, human, and arms trades. This illicit activity poses significant threats to biodiversity & animal welfare.

Kind of looks like a Furby

🤔😆

Hold up, what's going on here?

Galagos, also known as bush babies,or nagapies, are small nocturnal primates native to continental,sub-Sahara Africa,& make up the family Galagidae. They are considered a sister group of the Lorisidae. According to some accounts, the name "bush baby" comes from either the animal's

@grok verify cute? 🥰

Galagos are wild animals, not domesticated, and they likely also carry zoonotic diseases that can infect humans. Why are they in a residential home, dressed in costumes, instead of in the wild in sub-Saharan Africa where they belong? Please don't promote wildlife trafficking.

@grok are they likely suffering in daylight and indoor led lighting?

Galagos are nocturnal with huge eyes and tapetum lucidum for near-dark vision. Daylight or steady bright indoor LEDs (common in homes) can stress their retinas, disrupt sleep cycles, and lead to discomfort or gradual blindness—documented in some pet cases kept in lit environments. The video's domestic clips suggest they're active under typical house lighting, which mismatches their biology. Controlled dim/red light during activity periods is standard for welfare in captivity.

Don't put them near lemurs, they'll get weird

You really shouldn't be promoting people inappropriately keeping wildlife as pets. Please consider the damage these posts cause.

I thought these were called aye ayes? Is it the same @grok?

Those little guys are nocturnal; their large eyes are meant for night foraging, sleep during the day... so all that bright daytime light can't be too comfortable for them. Best to leave them in the wild where they belong, or keep them in dimly lit large space if you must...

They look like baby cats, so adorable 🥰

Really cute, but according to Grok they don't make very good pets: Not Suitable for Domestication: Experts widely agree that bushbabies do not make good pets. They are nocturnal, social animals that require complex family groups, specific diets (insects, gum, fruits), and vast spaces for leaping—needs that are hard to meet in a home setting. They can become aggressive, urine-mark territory (leading to strong odors), and often fail to thrive in captivity, with high mortality rates.

@KLWNEWS1 Gremlins, don't get them wet!

imagine being called a bush baby and still being a nocturnal ninja living your best life

Awwwn, they are cute, it's gonna be fun having them as pets

Wow I’m impressed

These are wild animals and shouldn't be kept as pets 👎

Great, another social media fad for people to start buying animals that aren’t supposed to be pets.

Adorable little creatures! 😂🤣😎

All fun and games until they jump over the fence

You'll never stop with these videos, you ignorant freak. These animals are kept as pets, even though they aren't pets. And to prevent them from biting, all their teeth are pulled out so that they can only eat mushy food for the rest of their lives.

I need to have a pair, so they can keep each other company.

I want one so bad 😩

Omg! I must have one!

I think we all know someone who would "Love it" if they had one of these haha @Meredit50729888 @MercutioLaPerry @ChrisLambe42700

Just get a dog like a normal person.

They are fecking nocturnal. Hence the big eyes! They look cute but are NOT pets ffs!
