It looks remarkably similar to a tablet, with the appearance of a rigid panel rather than a flexible one. On many foldables, even the areas away from the crease still show subtle ripples and unevenness, giving away the flexible nature of the screen under certain lighting. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is different. Its entire inner display is exceptionally flat. Once unfolded, it looks and feels much closer to a traditional rigid display than a flexible panel. This is likely thanks to Samsung doubling the thickness of the UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) and reinforcing the display with a titanium support plate.
