Left Tackle has the worst stance I've ever seen
Today a player with an ACL tear will not play for 12-16 months. All three major ligaments in Sayers knee had to be repaired. This injury occurred on November 10th 1968. Sayers was in uniform on opening day in 1969 and led the league in rushing that year. Sayers was some kind of SPECIAL!

I love everything about this. The Bears uniforms, the execution of the play and the sheer athletic brilliance of Gale Sayers.
Most slept on back of all time
Spent a lot of my youth in Chicago going to Bears and Cubs games at Wrigley Field. Sayers every home game. Bears moved to Soldier in 1971. Gale played just 0NE game there. Vs. Saints. Carried 8 times, 30 yards. Next week in San Fran and that was it. Retired pre-season 1972.
