🖨️ It took over a year and lots of help from Claude Code but I have now been able to create a real dot matrix printer on the web that prints from Windows 3.11 in your browser: Here's the test page: I couldn't get the LPT1 port to work but COM2 did work (the dial up model already uses COM1), the JS receives the COM2 serial data (just raw print data) and then prints it Next is to make the dot matrix printer better looking (kinda 3d like on pieter dot com) and have the paper also flowing in 3d out of the printer and integrate it on the page My idea was that it might work because we also capture the COM1 data (from the dial up modem) and send it to a Websocket as a dial up connection, so we should be able to capture the COM2 traffic too but I didn't know how, but now I do IT WORKS!! 😊

mingyu talking about their tiny desk concert video 🖤 🐶 i wasn't able to sleep until 5am earlier, i wanted to post the tiny desk video on my ig right away and i feel proud [of what we did] and i was really nervous as well. we were in washington dc for around 5 days and we rehearsed for that to prepare and then filmed, and it wasn't really easy. we really had nothing - there was no audio coming out from the mic and it was just my raw voice. we didn't have any in-ears, we weren't singing over a backing track either but with a live band so i was pretty nervous. so i was contemplating if i should do it or not but i kind of just went for it at the end. it was a good experience and i just went for it thinking, "when will we ever get to do this?" seeing us, seventeen, on npr is so fascinating in itself and i felt very proud of what we achieved that's why i liked it.

YouTube and Bugbounties have changed my life (and others) in so many ways. I had been in IT for a long time but I had no idea “how to hack web”. So one day in 2017 I decided I was willing to share my curiosity and journey into a new field on YouTube. This has enabled me over the years to connected with amazing people, presented new opportunities, leveled up my creativity and deepened my understanding around business / monetization, put me on world stages and opened doors i never thought existed. sure it came with some hate and bullying but that’s also something that one learns to live and deal with. For me the sharing as I learned was a part of the journey, that also help me build my own brand. Sure you are not everyone’s favorite dish, some like chocolate others like salmiakki. ✨ A dream I had finally came true: I can now chat directly with my sites to build any feature or fix any bug just via Telegram I've been playing with OpenClaw for 3 weeks now and it's great but I was always too scared to run it on any production server And I was right a bit as Marc Köhlbrugge was able to hack it by social engineering and acting as if it was me, and with enough tries it believed him, and was able to modify the server, change SSH keys etc. of course I had it isolated properly on its own VPS and it didn't touch anything sensitive (as it should!) Marc then reported that bug to Peter Steinberger 🦞 who patched it fast But I wanted to try something more basic and simple, and I think maybe more secure: to just connect Claude Code on my server to Telegram which would be hard locked to only messages from me So I installed claude-code-telegram by Richard Atkinson on the server and run it as a system daemon and it works really well The cool thing is that I was already using Telegram for server errors like this: > Photo AI - ❌ Random credits giveaway failed (Attempt 30/30) with an exception: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 5 database is locked So now I can just reply, "Ok fix this", and Claude Code on the server in production will try (and probably succeed) in fixing it In the video below I asked it to make show [🌳 Parks ] on the map by default on load, it did that, then I reloaded the page and it instantly worked One thing it still needs is sending actual messages while it's doing stuff which OpenClaw does really well, it's annoying to just wait while it says "Working..." but that's probably next
