He probably is scamming, if he’s genuinely got an active GameStop and it’s an error on betfreds end then he is entitled to his money back though. But I’d doubt it’s their error he probably changed some of his details to register again to deliberately bypass it.

Yeah fair, but let’s not forget this could be some bloke that has little similarity to this guys story and may be in the throes of addiction, suffering in silence and has relapsed and hasn’t scammed anyone. I’d wager the gambling company would still try and wriggle out of paying
