Game devs, add cheats to your game. It will save so much time when testing. And it can turn your game into a sandbox to play around in.

"But if we add cheats we can't sell the player 5 healthpotions for 20€ anymore"

Just put access to cheats into a paid DLC 🤑

i love a good cheat menu, where can i play this

There's a demo on Steam, but the cheat menu is currently disabled there. I will enable it for the full release though

nice, does it have flight mode and speed hacks?

True. Plus players can just mess around in the game if they wanted to lol. My kinda game

wow wow wow! off topic but the world looks super gorgeous even from above! i get the urge to eat your game every single time i see it, that's how good it looks

Thanks, love to hear that. I recently changed it a lot. Before trees where spread out everywhere but now there's dedicated dense forest areas. I plan to improve the overworld even more though :)

I don't need cheats when I have dev tools

Depends on what dev tools you mean. Technically speaking I can do everything in Unity like moving the player or dragging an item into the game etc. but it gets tedious over time. Having a cheat console is much faster

Im BEGGING this game is so amazing when will it release

Can't wait for the full release so I can fuck around and see how many skeletons and bombs it takes to crash my game. It is fun for me.

Agreed, that's exactly what I do in mine

Do you use any sort of LoD system for the forests? Fun console commands btw!

Yep, but it's very simple. Trees and a lot of stuff just get culled completely at a certain distance

Ofc. I always have tons of "cheats" on my games specifically for testing purposes.

Yeah, I can't imagine testing my game without being able to spawn any item or enemy or flying around to a certain place. It would be a big pain

Yep, also quest trigger shortcuts, straight up teleporting, wall clipping, infinite resources, etc depending on the situation! Absolute necessities the lot of them

Give the players access to the command console, with simple commands like the source engine.

I work in a game dev company and they require that we turn off cheats before release, I don't get it, cheats used to be fun! now you have to pay for cheats...

The issue arises when lazy devs add it and include it in prod, then you have people finding it through reverse engineering and it goes downhill from there if it's a MP game.

Yeah, for multiplayer games its different of course

Good idea!

If your game is cool we‘ll test it for free!

your game looks so good bro. keep it up

I have the same in my Kvyverse worlds but its not so nice looking as your

I started adding a nice little "dev pack" to my games builds to help skip the grind portion but, these often turn into my cheats u unlock by the end!! Definitely a must IMO!

Yeah, cheats are pretty cool. Also if there's a bug, it allows people to fix their savefiles themselves

WAY Ahead of you lol
