Gamers aren't pleased with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree being nominated for Game of the Year at this year's Game Awards

How hard can it be to just create a category to recognize DLC's and remasters separately? The industry gets a ton of those every year!

It’s hard to argue against Elden Ring’s legacy, but nominating Shadow of the Erdtree for Game of the Year feels like a stretch. DLCs should enhance a game, not take the spotlight from new, full titles deserving recognition.

I LOVE Elden Ring, I am a souls fanboy, but its wrong for a DLC to take the spot of a new full fledged game.

No, gamers are laughing that a DLC to a game from 2022 is cleaning house in 2024. It just shows how bad games were this year.
