Gaming keeps me grounded when reality ain't.

I mean…that’s deep and it may be a thing for some. Sure. Personally, a lot of my friends moved out of state or we just have busy lives working and being family oriented. At least we can all “hang out” on the game and sometimes rant about life shit. Better than the phone. 😂

I feel him. Gaming is escapism, just like any other medium. There's just something about a man with a Gaming controller in their hands that burns people up, especially other women. People judge gamers, often disregarding the practice escapism through their preferred medium.

The people under here villianizing gaming, are the real culprits. Like anything, there is a balance. People have made careers, friends, and found lifelong relationships through gaming. He's speaking on a certain group of people it has and is helping. Go away pessimist.

Moderate use sure. But it can easily become an addiction and addiction isnt therapy and often prevents you from actually dealing with the issues at hand that cause the depression and anxiety.

Depends on the player as per usual. Gaming 72 hrs w no sleep might not be optimal obv. Leave Time to recoup & soak get some real exercise. Gaming is a great way to connect learn & build

There are people in this world that can't interact on personal level with other people. Having an online community of friends in the virtual space of gaming can be extremely helpful. I'm 63 yo and a disabled vet. Gaming has stopped me from pulling the trigger a few times.

I've actually thought about this quite often. Gaming has definitely been a coping mechanism for me over the years and I couldn't help but think about how gaming can help those who are in dangerous communities or may be inclined towards violence/antisocial behavior.
