Gamma Emerald - Early Access!

This is incredible. Been following for a while and just a wonderful job front top to bottom. Cant wait to play. This is exactly what the art direction should have been going forward in the franchise by GameFreak. How do you get early access?

@MastaP513 Is it a 1 to 1 or were you able to change things like phys/spec split or trade evolutions not needing to be traded to evolve? This looks incredible but those would deter me

@UndreamedPanic None of those thing could deter me from this beautiful work of art. This is a must for an Pokemon fan especially seeing that garbage 2.5D bullcrap on my timeline line

This is probably the most beautiful rom hack I have ever seen awesome job. Will this be able to play on actual hardware like the 3ds or it's it too powerful?

Thanks but just a correction! It’s not a rom hack, I created everything myself. It’s MY code and not from game freak. So it runs with unreal engine and would be impossible to run on a 3DS because of that and since it’s not rom code

I really love the effort but some shots are weird due to the camera angle chosen the 2d sprites for the MC and NPCs really look like cardboards, like on the market at 0:42 it's so jarring. HD-2D titles usually have a lower camera to compensate that so i'm curious how it'd look.

The amount of work you put in this project is insane congratz Just an area where you could improve the visuals a lot would be to tilt the sprites for about 40° so they would face the camera a bit more gen 4 style, that way they wouldn't look so "flat" sometimes in the overworld:)

I’ve just been exposed to you through the feed. Emerald is my favorite Pokemon game of all time. My friend. This ignited a spark in me. Incredible work.

Pokémon going Open zone was the worst thing they did in terms of presentation. Overhead instances areas meant that every tile on your screen had something going on, and it made for better routes. After beating a he 5th gym, the entire world opened up just by unlocking surf.

Been following since the start of the discord and tests and i applaud you good sir, this is such a beautiful remake, the night time is insane!!!! My body is ready!

For those confused why this is getting praise over the red version one… Red versions whole charm was the dog water graphics and various other tales of the era. Emerald should have always been 3D tbh with how story rich it was. But hardware was limited at time of release.

I’ve been watching your progress over the past year or more and I’m very happy to see how this looks! MASSIVE respect for you working so hard on this project. I’m looking forward to playing this when it comes out! Keep up the good work!
