@mrdanwalker So who at the BBC are going to face consequences for lying to the public? Or is that breach of standards fine when it's not complained about by the Tories?

@EmmaKennedy @mrdanwalker BBC statement on Lineker included that he should "keep well away from taking sides on party political issues or political controversies". I’m guessing the BBC Chairman will be taking a step back too.

@mrdanwalker The BBC lied…on @bbc5live they implied it was a mutual agreement until both sides reach an arrangement.

@mrdanwalker @bbc @GaryLineker @IanWright0 It was only a year or so ago the Tories tried to make it illegal to rescue refugees drowning in the English Channel. Lineker is absolutely right.
