That’s the uncomfortable question the AI industry cannot ignore. If there is even a meaningful probability of catastrophic failure, speed cannot be the only metric. Powerful AI needs rigorous safety testing, transparency, and real accountability not blind faith that intelligence automatically produces reliability. The bigger the capability, the higher the responsibility.
