Gary Oldman said that when he first read the script for Dracula (1992), he knew it was worth doing the film for one reason: to experience what it felt like to say, “I’ve crossed oceans of time to find you.”

Oldman understood instantly that Dracula wasn’t just horror, it was gothic love at its most unhinged and operatic.

That line alone would convince anyone 🥀 You can feel why Oldman was drawn to it—it’s pure gothic romance, tragic and eternal. The fact that he delivered it with such weight is why that version of *Dracula* still lingers. One of those lines actors dream of saying.

He's a great actor!!

as much as I love this movie, its greatest flaw was being unable to decide if Dracula was a tragic victim of circumstance or a baby eating monster. Nosferatu did it better, he was a vile irredeemable monster and they stuck with it

What a line ❤️ Kyle Reese in The Terminator (1984) delivered a similar line: "I came across time for you, Sarah."

That dumbfuck went full weirdo, like hitting his head when missed a line. Seriously, poor Winona having endured bullshit from all these creeps, she's legend.

Release date November 13, 1992 (United States) 1113 ...a big old 5. Running time 128 minutes Scholars explore the novel within the historical context of the Victorian era.

He meant it

My husband used to say that when I spent too much time at the bookstore and he’d have to come find me…

probably just another romance trope he’s pretending was deep lol

For real

Gary Oldman 🐐
