Being familiar with DQV and watching this with my friends, I kept predicting the minor details. But when this ending creeped in, one of my friends looked to me and asked for clarification about what's happening. I just looked back and said, "I have no idea."

I genuinely believe something like that IS going to happen at the end of the game.

The one thing I never got was this one criticism saying the movie was calling gamers losers...as if those words weren't coming from the literal hacker/ antagonist. I don't think that particular review is even up anymore though.
