This umpire should be fired for ever impinge another game. The bases look loaded, not sure of the score, but regardless it’s a big out that he’s entitled to celebrate. Stop ruining the game for the love of god this is getting embarrassing 😩

If you're a baseball junkie, take the time & listen to Dino Ebel in this clip. There's a lot to unpack here, and it's all awesome stuff. First, Dino talks about time being on their side. The goal for a pitcher is to deliver the ball to home plate in 1.3 seconds. For a catcher, a 2.0 pop time is the standard, so any runner that can steal from base to base in under 3.3 seconds has time on their side. Then Dino talks about not yelling back to his runner at 2nd to make sure they're not diving back into the bag as a pitcher is delivering the ball to home plate. If that happens, a runner wouldn't be able to score from 2nd on a base hit. Finally, Dino talks about being aggressive sending runners home with 2 outs. The reason for that is that the odds are better that the defense will make a mistake somewhere along the relay chain than there is of the next hitter getting a base hit. Fans lose their minds when runners get thrown out at the plate, but, many times, don't realize, that with 2 outs it's pretty much pre-determined because it gives the offense the best odds to score a run. If the defense executes, so be it, but the next hitter has a 75% chance of getting out, and that's what makes it the correct call. I could listen to Dino Ebel & Eric Karros talk baseball every day & twice on Sundays. #dodgers

This pitcher in a youth baseball game threw at this batter intentionally. The fact that this would be a for sure ejection in MLB and it wasn’t for a youth baseball game is wild. Every coach and umpire failed miserably here.💯 Nobody said a word!? Yikes! 🤯 What would you do if you were the coach of that batter’s team, or better yet, the parent of the batter? Let boys be boys?

This happened today at the Cooperstown Village All Star Village in Oneonta, New York. The 12U championship game, 6-0 Alpha One vs 4-2 St. Pete Rough Riders National. Alpha One had just hit a grand slam home run to tie it 7-7 with no outs, and 5 minutes left. (They have a max game time clock) But the umpire called the batter out on an appeal for not touching home plate. You can see the batter jump and it’s hard to tell if he caught the edge of the plate, but he backs up and he looks like he touches the plate with his foot. What’s strange is you don’t hear any coaches telling the catcher or pitcher to appeal at first. However, you see the umpire talking to the catcher. They throw the ball to home the first time but no ruling is made. Then the umpire talks to the catcher again and they throw the ball home again on an appeal I’m guessing. The umpire calls him out. This is not a Rec league game, this is a travel ball championship where teams from all over the country compete and lots of money is spent. I personally thought it was very odd that you hear no one yelling to appeal and that you see the umpire talking with the catcher. In a still frame photo, to me, you can clearly see the batter’s right foot on home plate, imho. It should have been a grand slam. Alpha One feels they got robbed of the championship. I agree, but you be the judge. Did he touch home plate? Or, did the umpire make the correct call? Out or safe?
