SHAME on the entire fag packet SLT decision making process. A courageous, highly experienced & commended police officer making a text book arrest of a violent offender thrown under the bus for a few hurty words. Disgusting.@dorsetpolice .@PoliceChiefs .@YvetteCooperMP

That must have been nerve wracking for him but he came across well - a good, eloquent advocate. @PCCDorset - how much longer are you going wait to right this wrong? All the while national scorn is heaped upon the leadership of Dorset Constabulary -and it’s on your watch! Time to step up!

He came across very well and made some valid points Seems like a solid bloke tbh

Yes he did 💙

Idk.... personally, I think doing media during a potential appeal is ill-advised.

Not sure that this was the most appropriate broadcast route for PC Castle pre-appeal but he came across fine… I hope Dorset Police urgently review the sacking because PC Castle seems to be a decent officer and comments like DCC Rachel Farrell’s just embarrass policing…

From a 🇨🇦 perspective this whole case is absurd…this is an example of good policing..acted fast, got him in cuffs, got the knife, no injuries. He would have received a commendation. If I have to fight someone to arrest them, there is no “courtesy”.

To most people here it’s pretty absurd too. The public are fed up with those people who break the law being treat as the victim, but don’t very often get vocal about it, however in this case they have. Usually it’s the “gobby minority” rather than the “silent majority” who are busy making themselves heard.

@maurice_1960 Where is the balance? This looks totally fine.. good policing and the guy gets sacked. The two that tazer and spray the amputee sack in a wheelchair with a piece of cutlery.. No wonder decent cops are leaving in droves..

@maurice_1960 They have yet to face a misconduct hearing, so will most likely find themselves in a similar position when they do.
