This absolutely rubbish and fake. Matsya puran doesn’t say this. It’s a passage in a chapter called dandniti(kind of BNS) where it’s clearly mentioned what crime should get what punishment and in the passage it’s not just for wife, it’s for wife, son, brother, student etc.

This must be a history book, this is how History books state things about Past, they are not condoning it It's a Condemnation of the religious texts that is Matsya Purana which has this wrong teachings It's better because it's teachings us to discard hindu religious scriptures
