I think gen 4/5 reached the peak of pokemon graphics.

Gen3 has a bit more charm. There's more texture and color

Both are incredible next to actual 3D graphics

Gen 3 has a smoother motion, but gen 4 has more detail.

gen 3 was really good especially the refined frlg style from the rse style, but gen 4 and then 5 kinda peaked. The added depth to the world made it incredibly charming

What I’m surprised by is Gen3 walk speed being the same as Gen4. Because visually it feels so sluggish

We're so blessed they upgraded to 3d

The windmills being at 3/4 view make them look out of place in the gen 3 style. They should be facing forward or at a side view to be more authentic to the artstyle.

Gen 4 graphics were like a real decent beta version for Gen 5
