Some key points: • 2 minute ads outperform 30 seconds (can still be relevant) • Direct response outperforms general •Bigger agencies ≠ better So what is direct response, and how can you use it on your own? Let's talk about it.. Often times, ads go nowhere. This doesn't mean ads are ineffective. Rather, it means the ad did not elicit the correct response from its viewer. This can have a few causes: • The message was confusing • Viewer was not the target audience • Call to action was unclear Take for example most TV spots. You can't REALLY take an action directly from the TV screen. Maybe later if you recall the ad. But not right then. In the past, direct mail used to be the antidote to this problem. You send someone a sales letter. They like it, they mail back a check. Now, of course, its social ads. You see an IG ad for some fly kicks. Buy em on the spot. Clearly - direct response is a higher ROI form of advertising. So what are some ways to write it? First - always include a call to action. Point the audience directly to your desired response. Tell them: → Where to buy → How to buy → The price And let them make their decision. Second - build the story. This one's easy. There is an attempt to rebrand Final Fantasy XVI like it's some misunderstood masterpiece. It's not. Here's why: 1) Its combat is insulting to OG FF fans: -It sends the message: "You don't matter anymore. We want a different audience. We still want your money though, so we called it Final Fantasy" 2) Its story is a bloated mess: -You could cut the entire the Desert segment, and nothing of value would be lost -There is a Main Quest where Clive goes to the shops to buy garlic. I am not making this up -It plays like an MMO, full of low-stakes quests to pad out Subscription Time. This makes no sense, because you can only buy the game once 3) It wastes its best character 1/3rd into the story: -No one cares that this was for "Clive's development". All it did was the develop the story into a more boring one -To add insult to injury, the game then slaps you with "5 Years Later..." 4) Its idea of "mature writing" is to drop the F bomb every 30 seconds: -Swearing is fine when a script is well-written. But FF16 tries too hard to prove that Final Fantasy can be "badass". As a result, it reads like teen fan fiction It's not a "misunderstood masterpiece" - it's just not that good. It has some strong spectacle (Titan & Bahamut boss fights), but these moments are drowned in an ocean of boring scenes. There's a reason it only sold 22,000 copies on Xbox in its first week. There's a reason it has not 1, but 2 DLCs - and nobody knows or cares At the end of the day, the only crowd it appeals to are the people who will buy literally anything with the "Final Fantasy" name on it It will not stand the test of time. California wildfires are a crazy unstoppable force of nature. Years ago I experienced it firsthand when all the land around my farm burned literally up to my fence line in the Mendocino complex fire. Now is the time for public private partnership to cut red tape and deliver real solutions where people can remain near their neighborhoods with a bed to sleep today while they rebuild. We can ship 100+ houses ~tomorrow parked and setup on the street in front of the burned site locations to provide immediate shelter within the community if Governor Gavin Newsom would allow us permits to do so. BOXABL is uniquely positioned to make an impact here because we have already built the houses and we are close to SoCal w additional manufacturing capacity, have hundreds of houses in stock pre built and ready to ship that we could send to California TODAY this could provide immediate shelter and set the stage for a larger rebuild project in partnership with government. Our houses are already approved by California HCD We can also jumpstart plans to build other house models like single family or apartment and quickly rebuild fire affected areas.
