aww fuck yeah mate

Holy shit, how did they know 20 years ago how UK will look like today O_o?

Alfonso’s best

Y Tu Mama Tambien clears

@nottheLingerie Prisoner of Azkaban clears both

@nottheLingerie Third best

This movie could win best picture every single year since it was released

Enjoy watching

I've never actually seen this movie (yet) but from literally the first frame it's instantly recognizable and I haven't seen this full clip so that explosion actually shook me out of my skin for a sec lmao

That scene when the newborn baby cries, and all fighting around them just stops for a few moments. Everyone realizes what they are hearing with shock and awe, before the fighting inevitably starts again One of the most powerful cinematic moments I've seen

I saw Pan’s Labyrinth and Children of Men on the same day, just walked from one right into another. I left Pan’s thinking “I saw the best movie of 2006.” I left Children thinking “holy fuck, I just saw an even better movie than Pan’s Labyrinth.”

Probably the best post-apocalyptic film of all time

Julianne Moore getting Charlie Kirked genuinely traumatised me for weeks I’m not even joking

This movie occurs in 2027. How close are we to it? Prison like state in UK Terrorist threats Low fertility rate Immigration out of control World at War Anything else? poverty? hopelessness?

The single shot sequences at the farm and in the city were and still remain absolutely phenomenal.

I actually don't even remember this particular scene, but this movie as a whole left the kind of lasting impression on me that few other movies ever did. Still, I am not sure I would watch it again, no matter how outstanding it is: too heavy, too depressing, too tragic overall.

The camerawork is among the best I've seen.

Direction, action, cast: 100%. Leftist bullshit: 150%

this but with a different alfonso film

This clip from Children of Men takes me back to watching it during lockdown with my fam, that cafe news bit hooked me right away tbh

Only a good movie to people who mistake bleakness for art. Soulless and pretentious garbage.

Saw this in the theater as a college student at the juncture of knowing that films are “art,” and actually being able to *see* the art in filmmaking. This is one of those movies that rewires your brain because you see it at the exact right moment in of your life.

enna movie

Children of men

For info-seekers (spoilers): One day human fertility dies. Humanity spirals into dystopia. The UK is now totalitarian. Executions, deportations, concentration camps. Theo's ex wife wants him to get papers for a girl named Kee. Kee is pregnant. En route ex wife is...(1)

That moment when the first scene hits and you immediately sit up like yeah I’m not touching my phone for the next two hours

All timer film, rewatching it again made me realise how much this influenced the last of us

Less dystopian than modern London

saw this in a university theater for class unfathomably peak

I need to rewatch this shit. Saw in theaters and shit had me flabbergasted.

Fans at the time were mad at how poorly it was marketed, and then the design firm that did the media inserts made this demo reel that was so much better than the actual trailer.

Mad at this movie. I was down to my last pair of good socks and this “film” blew the goddamned things right off.

He is the youngest person Ever!

THE greatest ever

The woman holding the dog is the writer of the book on which the movie is based, PDJames, in a cameo.

Highly underrated
