This is brilliant. Footballer's often get ridiculed for not being smart but this is next level

Yellow card to stop a decent chance of a goal sounds about right to me. I'm not sure I'd glorify it as the BBC is doing here as its not in the spirit of the game, but seems close enough to pulling back an opponent on a break which would also typically be a yellow.

What people are missing is the unsportsmanship of attempting to take the throw-in while the goalkeeper is off thd pitch.

100% should be a red for the other player. Would have been if he'd managed to hit the keeper after throwing the ball.
