Gentle Parenting

Alldis would've been broken. My mama would've thrown me through the gentle parenting sign.

This is NOT gentle parenting, it's permissive parenting. Gentle parenting requires boundaries. It just also treats children as full humans by teaching them to honor and communicate their feelings. It's really not complex at all.

This is not gentle parenting this is spineless parenting.

I'm not even a parent and I know this ain't gentle parenting. I've witnessed it. Teaching about deep breathing, boundaries, what to do with "big" feelings, & consequences. This passive talking, not looking her in the eye or sounding sincere? She's gonna end up in the CJ system.

This is why the world has to deal with these lil demons today... a certain demographic has never disciplined their children properly. There is nothing "gentle" about her parenting... she's allowing that child to think it's okay to terrorize MFkz. She needs a good butt cuttin'. 🥴

Children need to understand that repercussions come with violent behavior. She is just sitting there on her phone enabling it instead of stopping it and redirecting. The child needs to understand that abusive behavior is absolutely not optional. This parenting is not productive.

Kev please don’t spread misinformation. This is mot gentle parenting; this is permissive parenting. Gentle parenting just means being creative, & putting in real effort to parent outside of authoritarian practices.

Gentle parenting is one thing, and it's good but that's not how you handle this. That's a child that will go to school and act out like that to a teacher or another child. What happens when a kid gets injured bc this child sees zero consequences to their violent actions

Baby gentle parenting is fine if your child has a n understanding of discipline and consequences. The raising her voice should have been the issue but now she is attacking to get her way and mom is like that hurts… where is the lesson?

That's not gentle parenting. That's aiding and abetting.

My son has ASD so there is a lot of redirecting in my disciplinary style. But one time he threw a vacuum crevice tool (idk how he got it) at me like a JAVELIN & it hit me behind the ear. IDK what he saw in my face, but he at least saw I’d forgotten I’m his mama. He took OFF. 😂

Yea she let that go too far for the kid to be doing all that. I’m not a fan of putting hands on kids but there’s something else that should be done instead of that
