This shit made me cry for about half an hour when I first saw it Jolyne's death, Pucci defeat, the reset, the slow buildup with distant dreamer playing and the cerry on top: Those fuckers playing roundabout with no warning I cried my heart out that night

I remember before Part 6 got animated I hear so much smack talked about the ending and Jolyne as a character. Like, they painted it as THE WORST thing ever and worst part in the whole series only to end up being my favorite part by a long shot.

in a perfect world i feel like they would’ve used Louis Armstrong’s “what a wonderful world” since that was the name of the final chapter of stone ocean. but roundabout is a good choice too

It wasn't the world the emporio lived in, it wasn't the people the emporio knew and interacted with, but it was perfect enough; it got the happy ending it deserved.

Definitive endings for characters hit so much harder than ongoing comics like Spider-Man and Superman. Araki's pulled it off 8 times in a row.

When i watched this for the 1st time hours of wealth by opeth started playing in my head (the im seeing to recognize every people passing by, but im alone and far from home, nobody knows me part) and i cried myself to sleep
