These water hyacinth stems can be processed and made into baskets, weaving around bamboo furniture etc. If the young boys and their families/ friends unite together it can be a profitable venture - the raw material is freely available.

But this is just plants!? There is so much garbage to clean up why are they wasting time cleaning plant material? I'm glad this movement has been started and I hope it spreads. India is such a beautiful land and it's heartbreaking to see how disrespected it is.

It's the matter of shame for this democracy where we pay to government and still do their work on our own. These youngsters should study and do great in their field but they are fighting for basic needs and working for those. So why TAX ? Stop paying to government for this.

We must create a reward system for such volunteers. If they submit any proof of people polluting the places that they cleaned, the polluting people must pay the compensation to the cleaned person along with cleaning the place.

They are removing green vegetation and destorying a natural habitat for many insects and animals… decimagjng marine life. Meanwhile actual rivers full of trash remain. “Good job” but its performative.

They're doing what government and people in charge (who are getting paid) should do. Few years ago millennial also made videos cleaning roads, and random places for yt or even actors promoted doing good work on TV.. still the situations is getting worse as time passes ☹️

Why don't government enroll these people in a clean city project something
