As Lee wrote in his autobiography: “You do not turn down Star Wars unless you’re Harrison Ford and have already done three…” He loved the experience too, calling George Lucas one of the easiest directors he’d ever worked with and saying he “could talk the stars down.”

The final minute of The Clone Wars is still easily some of the greatest Star Wars ever. Watching Vader’s silhouette walk away from Ahsoka’s crashed Venator through the reflection of a Clone Trooper’s helmet says more than any dialogue ever could. Exceptional storytelling. I seriously can’t imagine this series ending any other way.
