Rural communities in Georgia are being destroyed and nobody is doing anything about it. Developer cartels control all the governments.

Data/AI centers are NOT in the “public’s best interest” and does not fall under any eminent domain criteria. We are being told that by government decree. Let that sink in. This is NOT the governing system our founding fathers created. This decree does not represent the will of the people. All this can and should be legally challenged everywhere across this country.

Replace "data center" with "coal plant" Replace "water usage" with "pollution created" And you have the same argument green energy communists used to cripple American industry and energy production for the benefit of China

When there is no water left and we are bankrupt because of electricity and natural gas prices needed to run these things—it will be too late. I have never seen anything so dangerous and so fast-tracked with zero oversight. It’s appalling what is being done to this country all in the name of surveillance and greed.

Georgia has spent years fighting Tennessee over the border line of their states supposedly because of Georgia’s inability to maintain water demands. Why in the world would they allow so many data centers to be built if water is an issue?

Holy moly! I live in Georgia near Atlanta and now I’m wondering how much harm are all these data centers causing me and my family? Even though I can’t “hear” the constant humming is it possible my subconscious does? And the water pressure I’ve that’s noticeably lower.

Our county has a moratorium on them until end of year - but a question on the ballot today is regarding data centers - and the answer will be NO _ that moratorium will continue.

Your local politicians are letting this happen. Or they are being completely snookered by the tech companies who are likely doing an end run around local zoning rules & ordinances. Wake up People. Pay attention to what goes on in your community. Most don’t until it’s too late!

Can anyone tell me why we need over 300 data centers in Georgia? Are data centers nothing more than surveillance apparatuses to illegally spy on the American people and control every aspect of our lives?

@MS4justice People, you are looking at this backwards. Consider Read/study Georgia Constitution Article I, Bill of Rights. Note all the Sections being trespass and violated. Maladministration. Notice.

It just saddens me to see this for Georgia. 70 years here. Brantley County burned just a few days after a local meeting where no one wanted the data centers. But they are coming anyway. We, as Georgians, obviously have no say so. Why do we have representatives?? They do not work for us.

What worries me about this is Georgia and Florida share water reservoirs. What happens when they drain or dirty our water supply?

Agenda 2030 is presented as a blueprint for a better world - but behind the curtain, it’s a masterplan for global control disguised as sustainability. The 17 goals are not just about ending poverty or protecting the planet. They’re about centralizing power, monitoring every human, and digitizing every aspect of life - from your health and finances to your food, movement, and even thoughts. No Poverty & Zero Hunger = Total dependency on state-issued digital currencies and lab-grown food. Quality Education & Gender Equality = Ideological reprogramming of the next generation. Good Health = Biometric surveillance, forced medication, and control of your biological data. Clean Energy & Climate Action = Elimination of personal property, carbon tracking, and restricted movement. Sustainable Cities = Smart prisons, 24/7 surveillance, and algorithmic governance under the label of “efficiency.”

Water Districts have legal obligations by their existence to cut off their supply invokes Federal Laws as if the Colorado River water doesn't have legal duties by each signatory My legal view is that the theft of volume by continuous demand Water Districts face downstream MUST be addressed in a similar manner if many water regulations & obligations throughout the nation Eminent Domain only applies if the need is proven, these datacenters are illegal start-to-finish our nation no longer exists No worries, all mammals are extinct as-is from CO2 beyond rock_erosion's trivial buffering converts to carbonic_acid at the #AirSeaInterface of a 70.8%, 361-million km² saltwater sea_surface exchanging #gases constantly We must refreeze the entire Arctic Basin to prevent it, 1.7-trillion metric-tons of pure #methane gas thawing causes an extinction Disbelief doesn't fix it

@Kun_Tzu And think that every council member who voted to approve them got paid hundreds of thousands-to-millions of dollars in exchange for their vote. They got rich at the direct expense of literally everyone else in the state.

“there is no legal obligation for data centers to disclose how much water they will be using” They’re hiding it. Then it’s too late. When the aquifers and lakes run dry and the faucets in peoples homes quit working, things are going to get interesting. Don’t think this cant happen? Google Corpus Christi Texas water shortage. A major city in Texas of 300k+ people is almost out of water because they let industry use too much. And that’s just Corpus. It’s affecting outlying small towns too.

What I keep wondering is wherever all the capital coming from to erect all these data centers so quickly? The land, the equipment the development is expensive. And after they’re built, how do they generate profit to make building all these worth it? If it’s really all about “data” how could that be sufficiently profitable? Could it bee the govt and military are heavily subsidizing these things?

A Roanoke Circuit Court judge ruled in November 2025 that the Western Virginia Water Authority (WVWA) must disclose unredacted records showing a proposed Google data center’s projected water usage in Botetourt County. This was the first court decision in Virginia to find that data center water usage figures in public utility contracts are not “proprietary information” exempt from disclosure under the state’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Data Centers are coaching their workers on how to lie to the public and their family about how Data Center water usage is actually a good thing “I work at an architecture firm that mainly does data centers, and just to give you all an idea of how out of touch the people making these things are. Today we had a meeting where we were essentially asked to defend the water usage of data centers to our friends and family in conversation at the dinner table or online. They provided them with a graph to break down water usage (included) but I’ll go over it The chart compares “domestic water usage” (toilets, sinks, etc.) for a typical-sized closed-loop data center of 600,000 gallons per year against other things of “equivalent square footage”: Cornfield: 5.85 million gallons Vineyard: 5.60 million Golf course: 5.45 million Peanut farm: 2.88 million Movie theater: 935,000 5 households: 730,000 They make the point that “Data centers aren’t the big water users you think” But that’s not really true “It's still using an incredible amount of water — and the key piece of evidence here was when someone gets pissed at a data center's water usage, ask them if they like golf. And when they say yes, let them know that a golf course uses 9 times as much water much water as a data center. That'll shut them up, because no one disapproves of golf courses using an exorbitant amount of water…” Not to mention, this is incredibly misleading The 600,000 gallons is mostly just building operations of things like sinks and bathrooms. It downplays or completely excludes the main water use, which is cooling the servers More fake propaganda

This is very alarming Housing developers are realizing that selling parcels to data center developers is far more profitable than building homes “AI data centers aren't just using electricity and water. They're using land previously planned for homes” - 55 homes were purchased for nearly $1 million per house and knocked down to build data centers outside of Chicago - Amazon paid $700 million for land so they could build a data center instead of homes - Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet are spending more money on data centers than the US spent on railroads in the the interstate highway system in the 1950s, and more than the US spent on the Apollo space program States are choosing data centers over homes. There are real examples of this Northern Virginia is the center of this phenomenon known as Data Center Alley, even though the region has a shortage of more than 75,000 homes I found real devastating examples of this happening: Prince William County / Bristow, Virginia (Northern Virginia “Data Center Alley”) The homebuilder Steve Alloy’s company was preparing to develop 516 new homes when surrounding land was rapidly bought up by Microsoft, Google, and other data center operators instead. Nearby, the Village Place housing project entitled for 250 additional units had its land sold to a data center developer for $31 million Stanley Martin Homes Land Flip to Amazon, Prince William County, Virginia Residential homebuilder Stanley Martin Homes assembled 270 acres for about $51 million. They flipped most of it to Amazon for $700 million In Suburban Chicago Illinois. Stream Data Centers bought a 55 home subdivision for nearly $1 million per home, demolished the houses, and built a 2.1 million sq ft data center campus This must be stopped. We have starter home affordable crisis already
