Seems to me like England fans already have the excuses lined up, altitude, humidity, hydration breaks, moon phases... anything but admitting Mexico were simply better.😂

England played horrible against DR Congo. They have good individual players but they’re not playing well as a team. Mexico doesn’t have as much talent but are playing great as a team. This game will definitely be good

England fans have studied altitude more this week than they ever studied football tactics

Headaches is another factor - for the initial few days at altitude. England will be at a physical disadvantage as you need weeks to fully adjust. That said, England will just have to adapt the way they play to compensate. Substitutes will be critical.

Excuses in advance knowing the current average England team 🇬🇧 will be exposed, walloped, humiliated, and dumped out of the World Cup last 16 by Mexico 🇲🇽

Have any of the teams that have played them this World Cup complained yet?

High altitude forces players to deal with up to 20% less ambient oxygen in the air, resulting in increased physical fatigue, heavy breathlessness, and slower ball movement. Mexico uses these challenging conditions at the 2,240-meter-high Estadio Azteca to gain a massive biological and historical home-field advantage.

Get oxygen bottles ready for all players to be used at hydration breaks. Replenish what's missing. Not illegal or performance enhancing.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England has the best league of the world, players in the best leagues in Europe. Each player in the starting 11, easily make the world’s top 20 in their respective position… & yet, the media & head coach have spent 2 days creating excuses. Just pathetic! @BBCSport @marca

Please, they are professionals. They are supposed to be the best of the best, aren’t they? Why are you complaining. You should be analyzing the mediocre game vs Congo.

Conjuring up all kind of excuses without facing the very fact that - the current England team is trash , all their games have been so average and were getting lucky wins if Kane gets a Knock its over

Conditions at altitude could play a significant role in the tempo and intensity of the match.

Important factor! Altitude can be a real challenge , it affects stamina, breathing, and recovery. England will need to manage their energy carefully against Mexico. Games at high altitude are physically demanding. Smart analysis from Geraint Hughes. Hope the team is well-prepared for it.

This underscores preparation needs for visiting teams in the co-hosted tournament, where altitude often favors local sides like Mexico with natural acclimatization advantages.

Not much you can do to prepare. Drinking a lot of water will help to feel better but oxygen will be scarce. England will have to get a lead, slow it down, and hold on. Mexico will press them to run like they’ve never had to run in the past. Nearly an unfair advantage.

Why don't they take oxygen bottles to use in the water breaks and half time to regenerate their oxygen levels. in your game against Mexico
